Has anyone actually measured the current being drawn from the starting battery when everything is shut off and the doors are closed?
If so, how much did you measure? Please donāt say zero because thereās some electronic equipment that is always on.
Iām asking because Iām measuring just under 1 amp.
There is a very neat system that Iām using. Itās sold by Baja Designs and itās called Spod. It provides 8ea 30 amp connections. Each protected by a 30 disconnect. The switch box mounts on the driver side of the engine compartment using stock jeep bolts. There is one small control cable that you...
On September 17th while in the desert in SE Utah I attempted to shift into 4L, I was stopped, and the transmission was in neutral. This transfer case has not been used a lot so itās still stiff and hard to shift. Finally, the transfer case lever went into 4L however the display on the dash was...
I guess that all depends on where you live. Where I live I could, but donāt from old habit, leave the key fob in the center console and not be concerned about someone driving off with the jeep. A small town in the center of Utah.

Anything made by man can fail. I also had a tail light fail and after uploading a photo they promptly sent a replacement light. No hassle, no fuss just a replacement set promptly.
I need to give a positive shoutout about Oracle lightning. I also had a failure with my passenger side tail light. I contacted Oracle, I sent the requested picture anl with the date on the white tag. Once I did that they promptly sent me a replacement light. No argument or butts or anything...
I also added the Racetrack tail light however what really caught my eye šļø with your Jeep is the USCG sticker on your back window. Iām a retired ETCM.
I installed both the FTM-500 and the FT-891 in my Gladiator. I used a LIDO mount that bolts to the passenger seat front left mounting bolt. The LIDO mount is designed to hold both the FTM-500 and the FT-891 control heads.
i mounted the radio assemblies to the black material that is the wall...
I was driving in some icy conditions the other day and when I stopped I noticed that my auxiliary lights were iced up but the JW Speaker headlights with the built-in heaters were ice free. Yes JW Speaker sells LED headlights with heating elements on the glass and the heaters work.
Here ( I hope ) is the photo of my Gladiator with Fab Four Stubby Bumper.
as you can see I have a pair of Baja Design LP9 lights. What you need to know is who made the mounting brackets. They were supplied from a company called ā AxiaAlloyā. I ordered the clamps directly from them. You will need...
I have a 23 Mojave with a spray in bed liner. I used a 6mm drill/tap to clean out the bed rail mounting holes. It worked great without any problems. The drill/tap was purchased from Amazon.
When I say drill/tap itās one piece that starts with drill bit and then the tap threads. Worked great.
One thing that I didnāt see mentioned is you need or should have a fuse in the ground wire near the grounding point. That is standard for a very good reason. If something goes wrong in the starter or some other high current device it will find ground somewhere. You donāt want it to go to ground...
I suggest you just order the light kit from Rock Slide. They come with the proper connectors and the lights have double stick tape. Go to their website, locate your vehicle and you will see how they should mount. Been there, done that
I second the recommendation for the NOCO charger. I have several of them and they are very smart chargers. They will automatically determine the type of battery chemistry. Flooded, AGM or lithium.
I installed their replacement taillights and their bumper mounted backup lights. The backup lights are connected to the driverās side taillight. Passenger side taillight works properly. On the driver side taillight the backup light and the bumper mounted backup lights would come on for 2 or 3...
