  1. Gear ratio poll for 37” tires on 17” wheels 3.6 gasser

I just put those tires on mine. Had already regeared to 5:13 and ran those on stock rubicon tires for a while before I got the tires. I couldn’t be happier with that ratio. I am set up for overlanding and typically run with 700’ish pounds in bed but perfect setup for my tire size and payload
  2. Road trip to Death Valley and Eastern Sierras

Looks like it was a great trip!
  3. Spare tire

I have the Clayton rear track bar (as part of the 2.5 overland lift but can buy separately) and have a fully inflated Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T 37X12.5X17 under the truck with room to spare.
  4. Colorado springs, denver area shop to do gears

It was just over 3 grand with seals, Yukon diff covers and the gear oil change after the break in. I’m very happy with the results. I’m still running stock 33’s but getting better gas mileage, feels better off the line (not sluggish) and hit 8th all the time again. I’m pretty heavy with rack and...
  5. For those with awnings

I have that exact awning on my JTR. Love it. Mounted to an Extrusion Overland rack. Actually does only take about 3 minutes to set up and 5-7 to put away. I'm glad I got the bigger one because when the sun is not directly overhead, it adds more protection. I also got the wall for the front...
  6. Service 4WD Light about 500 miles after regear

Just had 5:13's installed in my Rubicon JT. Have about 1,600 miles since regear. No issues with Service 4WD light but did have some extreme difficulty getting it into 4HI (no problem before). After a few moves into and out of 4HI, it is still harder than before gears but not as hard as first...
  7. Colorado springs, denver area shop to do gears

I actually dropped mine off at Edge Automotive 4X4 in Englewood yesterday to have 5:13’s put in line. They have a tech that does a lot of gear swaps and a good reputation. I’m picking it up tomorrow and doing break in over the weekend. Final gear oil change and then heading from the shop to...
  8. To winch or not to winch

Nope, new front bumper and a winch have always been the first adds and I have never had a problem. I do however have a battery disconnect switch that I will be adding to my current Jeep. First time I have done it but have too much going to the battery.
  9. Anyone else find it strange

I I agree with this. I bought my 23 Gladiator Rubicon a month and a half ago in the Denver area. They had 141 in the dealer network inventory (Autonation). They gave me almost 12K off sticker. Only had a handful of Wranglers and very little dealing going on with them.
