Installed a set of Amp Research powersteps XL with my son and grandson. Grandson (in high school) is taking a liking to auto tech and such, so thought this would be a good project. Worked out great; in that it was great time together and the steps work! But I have a question⦠The bolts with...
Hi there. This isn't really a reply ; I'm asking a question in hopes someone will be able and willing to provide some knowledge. I installed the Amp Research XL'S. They are working great. BUT, the bolts with the conical washers provided that attach the linkage unit to the bracket are too long...
I appreciated your comments, as I am going to check out a set up AMP Powersteps XL for my 2022 Gladiator Diesel today. Thanks for sharing some insights on the install. Iāve been wondering if I should try and do it solo or seek a shop that does this regularly to do it.
Thanks for the responses. Got it together; used a 70mm bolt with 1 flat washer on the head side. Much easier to disconnect the lower bolt and install top bolt first. Ample bolt length, so added a lock nut also. Figured Iād need that extra hold since Iām sure I mangled the threads when forcing...
āBreak or damage caused by external forces are not coveredā was the message. I thought,,, well I guess if it self destructs setting in the driveway, Iām good then.
Looking for some advice⦠I found the reason the popping noise coming from beneath the bed went away; the upper bolt from a sway bar link apparently had been working loose and is now gone. I could see that the threads were trashed from the wear as it worked its way out. Dealer said no warranty...
I think you may be spot on with this idea. I have a ā22 and it has had a popping sound when slight bind or braking ever since I bought it. Could not figure out from where, as it sound like something tapping the underside of the bed. A couple weeks ago, it occurred to me that I have not heard...
Thanks for the pics. I'm looking at the Rhino powersteps for my '22 JTOD. Would you have a pic of the Rhino's in the 'up' position you could post? I'm wondering how much of the bracket and bolt area is visible.
So Iām going to jump in here and ask a questionā¦I bought a ā22 Overland Diesel. Itās got 37ās, and I just recently confirmed itās got the stock 3.73 gears. Iām sure the diesel handles the 37ās better than a gas, but should I be planning to regear? I just did a Jscan edit to correct the tire...
I just got a Jscan unit last week. Updated the tire size, and all went well. Iām wondering though what do you all do with the connector cable? Leave it connected? Do you need to remove it when taking vehicle into dealer for service? thanks
I recently bought my first Jeep; ā22 Gladiator Overland, Diesel. Really liking it! Itās been well upgraded with a 2ā?Terralift, 37ā KO2ās; Iām sure itās been reheated, but I donāt know to what. I need to get some good wheel well liners since I travel on roads that get nasty heavy mud when wet...
