I'm on 35's now. Did a trip last year (Moab) on 33's and this year (Moab) on 35's. Drove a total of 8400 miles and really felt no difference (on road) between the 2 sizes.
I took my stock JTR to Moab in May 2024. The only thing I "added" was a hitch skid. Ran Chicken Corners, Fins 'n Things, Potash road to Shafer switchbacks, Long Canyon, etc. Only issue was dragging a bit, but not horribly. When I got home I changed wheels/tires (35's on Method 703's), 2.5"...
I went with the AJK Hitch Skid. Ran trails every day at EJS this year and banged the hell outta it quite a few times (dropping off of ledges) without any damage.
They reached out to me and the problem was discussed. They will be shipping the remaining item today so, hopefully by next weekend, I will have the Rockslide Engineering Step Sliders installed. I appreciate the follow-up, phone call, and problem resolution!
Already let your team know of the situation. 2 weeks later they still show in stock on your webpage and I'm still waiting on RSE extensions so I can finish install of my Slider Steps.
Also, can't believe the Northridge site because they advertise stuff in stock that actually is on back order. Found out the hard way when I ordered RSE Step Sliders from them and only rec'd a partial shipment (did not receive the extension pieces). No communication from them on why, until I...
I use a NAPA air compressor that is specifically designed to do 4 tires at a time. Cost (on sale) was $125. Since the vast majority of use is for airing up after a trail run, I would much rather have a compressor designed for that. Since airing up a single tire is going to be a rare thing...
Definitely wouldn't leave MetalCloak off of that list. I am really happy with the kit I pieced together (since I couldn't afford to get everything at once). Gonna stretch it's legs in Moab during EJS.
Reverse is more than bright enough, yes. I do have a Tazer though and kill my license plate lights when I put it in reverse. In general, these lights are BRIGHT...both reverse and brake.
