Thanks for all of the replies and I have a potential solution to the clogged valve core that I'm going to try before I spend most of a day breaking down 5 beadlocks to vacuum out the beads. Counteract, one of many companies that sell balance beads, has a filtered valve core that I'm told...
Thanks everyone. We are headed up to Utah for a few days of wheeling so I'll plan on airing down once and leave it that way. I guess when I get back I'll be having a little party to break 'em down, vacuum out the beads and visit a tire store. From my experience with them though, I'm going to...
New wheels and tires (AEV Borah w/ Beadlock rings) wrapped with Kanati Trail Hog 37x12.5-17 and OEM TPMS Sensors. I went with balancing beads instead of weights and I've been happy with how they work. Until today... First time airing down since putting the wheels and tires on the Jeep. When...
Take a look at the offerings of Anvil Overland. It isn’t inexpensive but it is rock solid and it gives you virtually unlimited options. It is will use any of the ram mount 1” ball holders or their own.
'23 JTR w/ no lift. AEV Borah's and Kanati Trail Hog 37x12.50-17's. Just a little rubbing with the fender when turning to full lock. I do have the 2" AEV Dualsport lift on order to get a little more clearance in the wheel wells and the couple of inches clearance underneath. Have not...
Looking for someone wanting to get rid of their OEM takeoff rear bumper. I'm located about 40 miles NW of Las Vegas and I can travel a reasonable distance to pick this us.
On the JK 3.6, the PCV valve is on the back side of the passenger side head, very close to the firewall. Although it is a PITA to get to, the actual work wasn't too bad, just took a small ratcheting wrench with a torx tip.
My wife had a similar problem with her 2015 JKU so I went through the steps of replacing the PCV valve and then checking all of the other usual suspects with no change. Took it in to the local dealer and a brand new tech figure it out. The insulation mat on the hood! Under hard acceleration...
Thank you for sharing, you may have just swayed my plans a bit. I was looking at the 2.5" Overland + lift but this makes it look like the 1.5" w/ HD springs in the rear may be closer to what I really want. Nice looking rig you have there!
We went to the event this past March and it was lots of fun. Looking forward to going again this year with the new format and larger group of "competitors".
I'm an avid Ham radio guy and I have a ham radio in my Jeep and it is used quite often. I also have a GMRS license and quite a few local 4x4 and overlanding groups are using GMRS as well as many of the larger events in the area are going to GMRS. Using what is most commonly used in your area...
I've had "miscreants" remove my externally mounted fire extinguisher and discharge it into the bed/back of the vehicle - twice. I'll always put them inside after cleaning up that mess.
