So the other night in the -20 degrees during snowstorm a trophy mom in her SUV pulled out in front of me. Took evasive action, layed on the horn and BEeee…. Yes, the craptacular OEM quality plastic horns, froze, choked and shattered.
Was going to replace them with a higher quality...
The price for the TeraFlex tie downs isn't out of line considering the best price I can find on the OEM Toyota tie downs is $23 each. Resurrecting and old thread but has anyone found another options? Also, I was shorted two of the rail attachment bolts when I bought my rails. Been scouring...
Welcome back to Alaska. I pretty much agree with your observations except fuel economy. Best I have ever seen out of mine was 17.2mpg on this last weekend's trip out to Valdez and that was almost all highway driving.
Saw this sign over the weekend in Valdez and thought it was hilarious, so I had to pull the Jeep up next to it and get the pic. Pretty much sums up Alaska.
So I've about had it with the saggy mesh door pockets after only having the truck for less than 3 months. Looking at the DV8 and American Adventure Lab panels. I like the idea of the DV8 panel with the kickout at the front to allow for water bottles. I just wonder if I'd be better served by...
Show off your 4 legged fuzzball that copilots in your Jeep. Taken this afternoon overlooking Cook Inlet in Alaska. Bandit, the canine portion of my life of moving to Alaska, getting a dog and going on adventures. He's a rescue and the vet that worked with the organization I adopted him from...
Still haven't got a great Jeep Porn shot, but I'm working on it. Today's failed attempt was looking at the clear sky and thinking, "What would be cooler than a pic of the Jeep with Denali in the background at sunset?" Well the following ensued contributing to failure;
1. The Old Man was...
Would love the option of the 5.7 Hemi or new Hurricane I-6.
Less nannyism; ie: tilt and incline display that shuts off over 20mph, ability to engage rear locker in anything other than 4 Low, and auto park!
Ability to store Freedom top panels other than bungee strapping them into the bed.
Get...
Glad I found the video on removing the clips from the front. Still a PITA but easier than disassembling the seat. And one of those things that makes one ask, "Really?!" Can't they just use the same hardware for the removable headrests they use on the front seats?
One good thing bout living in Alaska, we're too far north to get reception for Sirius. When I moved up here cancelling the subscription in my F-150 was an ordeal. Made a call to cancel and kept getting peppered with deal after deal to extend my subscription. Obvious the call room operator...
Yep, Lady A put on quite a show.
Tried getting a little Jeep porn, but getting an image of a black vehicle at 0300 was a challenge. Way overexposed, but it's still there.
My Gladiator is still new to me, but the fuel gauge is causing me anxiety. Went out chasing Northern Lights the other night with less than a quarter tank. Rookie move, but I was like only going to Baldy Trailhead just up the road (less than 10 miles). On the way back down the mountain I had...
I've been happy with the Falken Wildpeak AT's that came on my Rubicon. Big improvement over the BFG All Terrains KO2's that were on my F-150, but honestly can't say if the difference is the tire or the vehicle.
