So get this⦠I go to replace the filter cover this morningā¦. And the filter is stuck to the assembly. I can feel the spring working and it looks exactly the same as the doorman replacement. I think Iāll leave OEM for now I guess??? Other than not shoving on as hard as screwing it down made it (I...
Yeah, for $30 or so⦠even if itās fine (I think youāre right)⦠for nothing money Iāll replace it. Whatās your thoughts on the aluminum aftermarket caps? I change the oil every 5000⦠Iām thinking the aluminum will mess up the plas
That may have happened. I donāt recall wiggling it much or hearing/feeling anything break. All oil pressures and temps have happened as if normal, but I will buy another cap and replace. Cheap fix. Thanks for the help.

Did an oil change this morning on my 2023 gladiator. Removing the Mopar filter from the cap was a little difficult. However, the new one fit on super loose and would not stay stuck to the cap. It is a genuine Mopar bought from my local auto parts store. Yes, it is the correct sizing never had...
Yeah, this is not a dealer issue. This is all Jeep, but the āCaresā people are trying in PM to throw it back on the dealer.
The dealer has actually been great, and Iām surprised to say thatā¦. But I will give credit where itās due.
Iām not going to sell the jeep in the near future. Actually...
Thanks dude. Polite persistence is usually the best policy. Jeep seems to be immune to all attempts to respond with logic on this. I think itās because they know they have to admit they wonāt cover a manufacturers defect on a ~1 year old vehicle and they know thatās a losing proposition from a...
Itās a huge bummer, but seems to be becoming more prevalent. Iām certainly not a, āthe customer is ALWAYS rightā person. Customers do some really dumb things, but this is just super disappointing.
Iāve done a poor job of describing the timeline. Iāll put it correct below:
November 2023 - Vehicle purchased
December 2023 - Vehicle delivered
January 2025 - This specific leak found and dealership appointment made
That is the timeline. Thatās why I say āin service 13 monthsā since I got the...
Youāre 100% right on my typo. My bad. I own that entirely. Iām about to move, and been doing too many happy hours with family and friends. š¤¦āāļø
I bought the Jeep because my local Toyota dealership tried telling me that Toyota didnāt make a manual Tacoma and they wouldnāt order one (lol).

I hope itās a different experience, but as my father says, āhope is disappointment delayed.ā Nothing yet from Jeep has been promising yetā¦
Sorry to hear about your troubles.
Very weird, right? And itās not the slider, but the actual glass on the window. Itās a 2023 purchased in November, but I couldnāt take delivery until December due to the clutch recall. Either way, the truck is a year and a month into ownership; thereās no damage and it shouldnāt leak.
The...
Do you have more information on your fix? That sounds like a really smart approach.
Also, I appreciate your feedback on my final comment, but I wonāt apologize for it. I see it very often from people in the community unfortunately. I think it needs to be said. š¤·āāļø
