Same here, mine worked perfectly on the first try. I did have to use another 12v charger I had in my "misc electric crap" box that every dad has since the one that came in the kit had a euro plug.

Took my '21 Gladiator in yesterday morning for the inspection, got a call at 1500 saying the inspection and pump install was completed. They apparently had some in stock and was able to knock it out immediately after the inspection.
