This... For some reason this plug started hitting the toe of my clutch foot and saw it was hanging by two little wires going up into the dash. Just a typical Alaskan fix for just about anything that breaks!
Well, not so fast. It LOOKED like it, by the pictures, but it ain't. Seems like the same shape as my seat rails but they are much wider; all four of them. So, maybe it goes on a Compass and got dropped in there by accident?
My quest for American made step and roll bars for my Snow-Jave has ended in failure. So has anyone here had experience with these? My wife and kiddos need help climbing in and their smaller feet look like they would fit in there without getting stuck.
They look low and wide (ground clearance...
Hey y'all; any body know what this is and where it came from? Found it on the floormat behind my passenger seat. And your right, I have no idea how to format an internet post. My 9 year old isn't here to show me how...
I guess any engine that was built with a manual?
Mine got shipped up and drove it home tonight. I think the mortgage payment is going to bounce after I paid the shipping charge but that's ok... No problems, clutch is definetely hard to feel the engagement. Stalled it once. Ride feels slightly...
Every time I a take a vehicle to a mechanic it comes back with something else wrong. Don't know if i'm as good at picking mechanics as I am at picking ex-wives, or if every mechanic in the country actually sucks.
Do it yourself, because an oil change and tire rotation is about the most...
Admit I did not read all 29 pages of this one, so forgive me if this has already been suggested... I ordered a 2023 that already had the recall done. Since everything must be lawyer proof and designed to the lowest common denominator of human intelligence; what if the only reason clutches are...
I'll tell ya what; this sounds like the typical problem with automotive engineers that live in the city and take subways to work. What, you think they actually DRIVE cars to work?! C'mon...
Some Chrysler clown got a bonus designing the AUX switch bank but never bought a coffee for the...
I once test drove a 5-speed turbocharged Subaru Baja, it had terrible turbo lag. Then I tried an automatic next and the turbo was synched to the shifting so well I didn't even notice it.
I got a manual Mojave inbound and considering the Magnuson. Anybody got experience on how it performs when...
Nope, nope, nope. Just drill a 1/2" hole in your tank and drain it into a pan. When empty, pour a gallon of ethanol, or ethyl alcohol from Walmart through and then plug it with a wine cork. Real wood cork, not plastic. Done.
Note, try to use one of the new, sexy brushless motor drills or a hand...
Check out ACT too. I'm going to upgrade once mine wears out... And I heard tell the only reason the manual has a lower towing capacity is because of the mechanical clutch. The driveline, suspension and frame are just the same as an automatic.
I read something somewhere about the weight of front bumpers having an effect on the fox shock suspension put in the Mojaves. It's why they put the cheaper plastic bumper on the 2nd from most expensive model. If true; i'd shoot for an aluminum one.
Older thread, but I would like to pick it up for a couple reasons: $ and $$. 16" tires are cheaper then 17". And smaller tires=less rotating mass=better mileage. Note off roading is not a concern for me, I just drive on paved roads and tow trailers about.
And that's no joke. Done it myself. Of course, I guess I forgot that DEF freezes too. Guess that would be another heater.
I heard a rumor that the whole DEF thing started with a Kentucky Derby horse stable owner that was trying to figure out how to sell his excess horse piss. Then he met an EPA...
I'd thumbs down a diesel anything that isn't pre-1997 (dating myself here ?). But where I live nothing running the Holy Oil will start at -50F unless you plugged it in with a battery charger / warmer, oil pan heater, transmission pan heater AND block heater with a combined rating of 1500W draw...
Did a Jeep search and out of over 14,000 2023's left on the lots I found exactly one (1) Glad with my most wanted options. Only things missing were the headliners and the smoker's package, which I can just order and put in myself. Got hella discounts too; about $47k and a couple grand more for...
