I have. a ā23 Rubicon with halogens. I put these in per the instructions and they worked. I didnāt have to change a thing.
I thought they messed up my license plate lights but that had nothing to do with these and it was my own dumb assās fault.
FINALLY arrived today. They shipped on 3/18! Anyway, it was about a 20 minute install and no errors messages. They look much better than the clunky OEM lights. Wife just shook her head and, āOk???ā
When I sold my RAM 1500 I remembered to grab the Pedal Monster before letting it go. I called Banks last week to confirm whether that device would work in the Gladiator. They said it was the same part number so today I installed it in my ā23 3.6L.
Man! What a difference! One of my only...
It is expensive, I'll give you that, but I've had roll ups, try fold, soft top, etc. This is the nicest one I've found. For me it checks all the boxes...
Hard top
Lockable
Lays flush with the bed
Allows for cross bars and or racks to be installed
Stays dry inside
Doesn't obscure the rear...
These are what I had. Three of them and all three had issues. I live in the South with really hot summers. The glue that holds the vinyl on melts and it peels back. My local guy told me heās pretty much stopped selling them because heās had to warranty so many. All three of mine were on Ram 1500s.
I honestly couldnāt tell you how easy it is to remove. Iāve never had the need to remove any of my covers. I will say that this seems like a more permanent solution not intended to be removed a lot. With the top rolled into the canister I imagine it would be fairly easy. There are also drain...
Iāve had three of the roll up covers and had problems with all of them. They shift and become misaligned over time. The vinyl also rolled back and they eventually donāt lay flat. I switched to the roll lock cover and love it. It keeps everything dry and doesnāt block the rear window. The ability...
I had three Bak Revolvers on my RAM trucks. Theyāre good in theory, poor in practice. The vinyl that they use peeled back on every one that I owned. They donāt stay in place and will shift over the course of just a few months and become misaligned so it wonāt roll right. Eventually they wonāt...
Anyone have any experience using a stock Gladiator Rubicon 3.6L to take a 20' Chaparrel bowrider out of the water? I wouldn't be towing it very far. Maybe 10 miles or so if that. I'm more concerned about turning my Jeep into a U-boat.
I've had both devices but those were both in RAM 1500 trucks. I do still have the Banks device in a box in my garage. I plan on installing it in my Gladiator soon. I liked it. I had no issues with either one but the Banks seems like a more refined version of the Pedal Commander. They certainly...
During the summer in South Carolina there's a good chance around 4:00 every day that you're going to get a hard downpour for about 20 minutes and then it stops. It's just a pain to have to stop to put tops back on every day.
This is my first Jeep ever. My 23 year old son finally got me to leave my beloved RAM 1500s. I loved those trucks.... Sigh.... Anyway, I went with a '23 Rubicon 3.6 that the dealer had on the lot for a steal. It's fun and I'm not looking to go off road. We'll use it for some camping and trips to...
UPDATE... It turns out that I did, in fact, need to change the settings in the Tazer JL Mini to enable LED lights. The headlights and the fog lights worked great but for some very weird reason, the license place lights would randomly turn off. Must be something in the way things get wired. I...
Iāve had 3 of these covers over the years. Bottom line is that the cover wasnāt designed for these types of rails. Itās meant to sit flush in the top of the bed walls. My last was on a RAM 1500. This isnāt a flaw with the cover, just a bad fit with those rails. Throw some black weather stripping...
