I have the softopper and have zero complaints about it. I ultimately went with the softopper over the bestop because more bedracks were compatible with it. Price was comparable to each other. I'm sure @Softopper will have a Black Friday sale.

since you already have a softopper, that really limits your options, might want to look at putting a bedrack over the top of it and then what about using kayak racks or contractor cargo bars mounted to that?
