These things look awesome, definitely adding them onto my to do list. THANKS!!
I bought something similar, but much cheaper, off Amazon. They SUCK. They were great at first, but no real way to tighten them unlike these which come with that black plastic tool to hold them in place and not spin...
While Morimoto is known as a company with top notch products, stupid things like this make you wonder what would happen if you actually purchased their product, had an issue with it or was defective, and had to resolve it through Customer Service or Tech Suppport...
so I googled it and...
BASTARDS!! I emailed Morimoto if they had any sort of estimated release date for these and they responded with the following on 3/19!!
Hi,
Thanks for reaching out. We do have some plans for that vehicle, however, there is no ETA on releasement or production at this time.
Feel free to keep up...
I have the softopper and have zero complaints about it. I ultimately went with the softopper over the bestop because more bedracks were compatible with it. Price was comparable to each other. I'm sure @Softopper will have a Black Friday sale.
I think when Diode Dynamics said run two wires to the switch they meant their Diode Dynamics 3 way switch, one wire for the back light and one wire for the main ditch light.
You can't run two wires to one jeep aux switch. It's one wire per switch. So you would wire the main beam to aux 4, and...
since you already have a softopper, that really limits your options, might want to look at putting a bedrack over the top of it and then what about using kayak racks or contractor cargo bars mounted to that? I have the xtrusion overland bedrack on top of my softopper and couldn't be happier with...
if it's just one, then it's not even a second thought, have to go with my bumper mounted Diode Dynamics SS5 Pro with yellow combo lens...those things turn midnight into high noon
for easier and scenic, check out Potash Road in Moab and take that to the Shafer Switchbacks that comes out in Canyonlands... there's a book called FunTreks that has GREAT directions
sounds like you might want to reach out to your accountant about tax write offs on a company vehicle before making this decision...
full disclosure I'm not an accountant, nor a business owner
I agree with the two above posters...I have a white Mojave and really like the black top and fenders to break up the color. Maybe if I had one of the fancy colors I'd feel diferent. I also like the utilitarian usefulness of just being able to use them like a shelf. One day I imagine I'll LineX...
if you decide to go with DD, check out hotshot offroad, they're based out on Montana so no sales tax and fast shipping, they're great to deal with...they don't sell jeep specific parts, but do sell pods and such
Why don't you just call and talk to someone about whichever truck you're interested in? And when they send you the invoice you'll see what, if any, bullshit fees they're going to try and charge you... My past two vehicles I bought out of state, then tax and titled them myself when i got back...
The one in Montrose has treated me well...but I'll take your words under advisement, I was in there two weeks ago and it was a bunch of new kids in the bays...
as others have said, go with the Mickeys...I have them on my Tundra and they're phenomenal, can't wait for my stock Falkens to wear out on my Mojave so I can run to discount tire and get them on my jeep
