So far simply replacing the front shocks with bilstein 5100 have made a big difference! They handle the weight much better. The ride on and off road is much more composed. Happy for now!
This makes sense! Considering bottoming out issue, am I okay installing 1 in spacer lift without bump stop spacer on stock Rubi springs? Could I go 1.5in lift? Or is that putting springs and shocks at risk of damage?
Okay great! Tereflex 1 inch. Seems to work for other diesel owners per the reviews. Opted for less lift with hopes my oil pan stays out of contact with the axle. Could I have gone more?
Okay dumb question time. I ordered bilstein 5100 shocks for the front with a spacer lift. Is it fine to leave the rear alone with the stock fox shocks? Will it make a big difference vs getting rear 5100s?
I suppose I’ll let y’all know soon enough!
Wonder if finding some takeoff springs and shocks from a newer ecodiesel will improve the ride. (This is under the assumption Jeep made improvements after 2021 model year). Anyone have some lying around the garage? Or OEM parts numbers I can order?
Good thoughts! My truck is new to me with 40k miles. It is unmodified (crazy, I know). The shocks probably need changing! I’ll look into Clayton level springs. Anyone have any significant time on them!?
should I just get it out of my head that I will ever “glide” over washboard at speed with...
Need some guidance. 2021 Jeep Rubicon Diesel. What’s the best way to improve the diesels ride over washboard and bumps without lifting? I feel like I have to crawl over bumps currently. At most I want is a level. This is my daily driver. I would like something composed on the bumps but not too...
Here is how she turned out with the @fifteen52 wheels! Stock suspension on 33s. Probably not going bigger tire because I live in the mountains and the speed limit is 80mph! Anywho, I’m pleased with the result! There are minor changes in driving dynamics with the offset and increase weight of the...
Awaiting the Clayton leveling kit for my JT rubicon Ecodiesel. Hopefully gonna get upgraded shocks per the TSB from Jeep. Although I just bought the Jeep used. Hopefully warranty picks up the tab still.
Anywho… those of you running the Clayton leveling springs, any improvement traveling at...
Just purchased some fifteen52 wheels on sale. I haven’t had them installed. I have a rubicon JT. I am second guessing my decision out of fear of the 0 offset. Do any of you have any issues with stone/gravel damage or regret going with an aggressive offset?
