While very true, it can be taken in different ways. The tune being discussed disables the EGR and uses a plug plate to block it off. So, technically, it does not eliminate the physical system; it blocks it. Then, separately, you can purchase a delete kit that will physically remove the system...
Well, to be honest, the EGR delete kit isn't really necessary or useful if your coolers aren't leaking; it doesn't provide any benefit. When I talked with them, they said: "The only advantages to removing the components are that they can fail, causing a leak of coolant or charge air". So it is...
I'd check for a leak around the gaskets of the new system and plug plates. Could be the cause of both the smell and mileage concerns. Just an idea without knowing the details
I just went through about the same. Replaced the NOX sensor, O2 Sensor, EGR Cooler, Manifold gasket and a few other things. In the end the NOX sensor kept coming back on. The dealer started a STAR request after the second time the NOX came back on. Went through this for a while on my '23.

The platform is 35" x 34" x 3" (with the panels collapsed, about 7" installed) and it weighs about 10-15 pounds. The measurements are at furthest points that go around the trim in the JT.
Not near the miles as you, but I had the original until 30,000 miles and then had the recall completed. Only been 3000 miles on the new pump. Never had a problem just decided to get it done finally.
The Optima will be great for the diesel, no worries there. I use an Odyssey in mine and other than brand they are pretty much the same. I originally deleted the Aux battery, but did not like some of the slight changes with the electrical system. Nothing major just small things like the change in...
There were three times remote start did not work for me, or scenarios should I say because when they happened I did try a few times with no luck. First, fuel under a quarter tank and it would not remote start. Once filled up it worked perfect again.
Next was battery problems, remote start...
Both my JT and JL came with a funnel, I keep it with the additive and wipe it off after every use with a paper towel.
After reading this, I looked at a few different studies and will have to say I will make the switch as well. But I will use the mix mentioned in another thread of XL and Amsoil...
I had one ordered, even talked to them, and then three weeks later my order was cancelled. So, I guess I missed out as I can't find it anywhere now. No worries, the only thing was to get rid of the swirl valves and EGR port. Losing the swirl valves will not be happening now. Best of luck on the...
Looks great, congrats on finding your Jeep. Now get rolling so you have a better chance of missing the storm. Also, as I said before check the DEF level to ensure they filled it up before you leave.
Unfortunately, that is due to all the scams and thieves out there that have no consequences anymore, which makes it harder for the rest of us. Best of luck on the '23, better year anyway (not truck as they are the same just year since mine is a '23).
