It is just an Arrow 10 x 12 metal shed; should have it finished tomorrow. Out of the classic project three choices, Good/Fast/Cheap, this one has to be fast and cheap. The moisture barrier, pavers, and plywood are to create a good foundation and floor, while keeping to quick and cheap.
There is a thread or two or many about adjusting the cable underneath the console, as well as at the rear wheels. The rattle from the cables at the handle could be the root cause. I had to tighten mine a couple times. There was a clank when releasing the parking brake. If you have a clanking...
From when we lived in snow states (CO, WA, KY), I used my arms and hands to clear inches snow from the hood to roof to the back, then a snow scraper for the glass if there was ice. The hood is important unless you like snow flying on to the windshield. Anyway, just a way to keep warm while...
I decided to VPN to Australia and give prices a look.
In $ ASD, a Mazda BT-50 is something like $60k.
Toyota Hi-Lux is something like $70k
JTR is something like $90k
So price is part of why JTs are rare in Australia. And there have to be other reasons why the BT-50 and Hi-Lux are not...
Yup yellow safety glasses, the ones meant to filter out/block gray, are great; have a couple sets in every vehicle. They work great helping to see through mist/spray from other cars when on the interstate during rain as well as fog and snow.
I don't think anything would be "broken". Shifting the transfer case is might be more difficult than say at 100 miles; about all I can think of, but, not an expert on this situation.
I wonder though, if the main LTE antenna is disconnected, leaving only the RX2, how the transmission of telemetry still occurs, the uploads. I'll disconnect the satellite antenna and see what happens, if the UConnect apps remain "unlicensed".
The only ad received here was for the extended warranty (service plan), and then just once. It was very annoying. It would show up every time we stopped, then disappear when we started moving again, that is until I saw the close button.
There is one antenna connected to the head unit, that goes to the top of the cage. And then there is a second cellular antenna behind the driver side knee speaker.
My google-fu is failing me at the moment, but there is a thread about replacing the knee speakers. That is where I found how to...
Probably not for those in Gladiators or Wranglers, from TFA "Recon is right there, geometry wise, with the likes of the Mercedes G-Class, Toyota Land Cruiser, and Rivian R1S". Interesting, but is even more likely to never touch dirt.
Anywhere within a few hours drive of a neighboring country is a target area. There was a brief rash of Jeep thefts about an hour north of LA a couple months ago.
