You will not regret it. It's just a whole different truck now. Driveability is so much better, the mileage bump is nice, but really just a bonus in my opinion. I'm on heavy 35's, lifted 2.5" and got a winch stuffed in front of the grill. The throttle response is absolutely amazing. It's...
Nice! I have been deleted and TCM tuned for a couple thousand miles now. I gained about 5mpg (combined) on the "stock" tune after the delete and I noticed the oil temp runs a little cooler too. Getting about 25mpg now on mixed driving. The overall drive ability is night and day. i ran the +30...
I hear ya.
In regards to the TCM tune, correct. ALL the info I got for the PCM and TCM was geared towards the PG3 unit. I just winged it (really hate doing that..) and went with the same process for the PG4 usage. It all worked out. And yes, the "all gears by 70" seemed to work fine. I am...
It took about 3 days. I got my stock files successfully uploaded late Thursday and I finally got the email notification on Saturday. That was with me kinda bugging Martin. I think I annoyed him. LOL But hey! My rig was down for over 2 weeks and I was eager. He was great to work with though...
I have this exact same noise at the start of every cold drive cycle. I too attributed it to the rear brake components just having a light corrosion layer that gets scrubbed off after a few rotations.
Agreed! After reading your post I did a big search and stumbled upon a recent Facebook post with the same images, but then closed the browser on accident :( Sounds like it is in the works.
I mean...all of these replies are good, and valid and fair points. But I'm still gonna try it LOL. Cuz I like designing shit and trying it out. 😜
I don't think the mud thing is gonna be an issue. The OEM plate lights are buckets, just waiting to get stuffed full of mud and I've never had to...
Interesting idea....but it would have to be in a 45 degree (or whatever) angle the plate lights are mounted at..right?

I am gonna play around with this and see what shakes out. Will confirm...
Info only- I just heard back from Martin at MRTuning. He echoed what has already been said. He keeps the intake swirl valve functionality intact on his tunes, as they help with engine performance and fuel efficiency.
Sorry to piggyback, but I am at 70k and on the weight loss. I would like to remove the intake at some point and give it a good walnut blast to undo the 70k miles of crud it ingested. I seem to recall there were some pro's to removing these swirl valves? Is there any truth to that? Wondering if...
Oh nice! I am glad to hear they supported you at least.
BTW- My comment was not a knock on Real Truck. I understand they can only sell their products through specific avenues and they don't have any real control over said resellers.
I really am a huge fan of the CX series canopy. It's been...
Personally, I have not had great luck in getting a valuable reply from Real Truck (ARE) but maybe you will have better luck. I asked about buying replacement windoors (with sliding screes) and all I ever got back was "go talk to a local ARE dealer, here's a list". The two local resellers around...
