Hey guys, decided to put the last nail in the coffin of this build. Due to electrical issues the last couple months, the clutch issues and cam issues I decided to sell this since my Comanche with the LS swap is complete. Thanks for the follows and info, I hope everyone here has better luck and...
Im running 37s on my Overland with Rubicon springs and a leveling kit. No rubbing or any issues. I did get my gears done tho, I went to 5.13s but most suggest 4.88s. Im definitely happy I didnt listen and went with the 5.13s.
I feel you man, im in SE Texas and am in the same boat... I plan on purchasing in the panhandle of the state so that I am a couple hours away from Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma etc. I want to live here in Texas but I want to be able to enjoy the things I grew up with in the PNW. I know its...
I would have to agree! I am at 25k miles and have become adjusted to it... Dont think ill bother with the recall until I have a reason to and even then ill probably go aftermarket.
Got my RK 1.5" coils in on Saturday and finally had a chance to swap them out today. These replaced my terraflex levelling kit and I am definitely much happier with them. The only downside for the coils on my end is that they lifted the truck way more then what RK labels them as. I ended up with...
Also got some Harbor Freight lights hooked up. I personally don't mind HF. Don't get me wrong they were trash ten years ago, but their products have really been getting a lot better! I don't care to support Warn, as I've mentioned I have friends that are either work there or did previously and...
Managed to get a couple things done this Saturday. Hoping for some more progress tomorrow, but I will be helping a coworker with his square body Chevy build so I dunno if that'll happen. Mosquitos were relentless today and if its the same tomorrow ill be happy to use the excuse to not be working...
Honestly this is more the opinion I was expecting... I'm surprised how many people here are commenting that they've never had an issue! I'm considering cancelling the order and just ordering direct from RK... If it was a full lift Id understand a wait time but its literally only front coils.
I started building jeeps in 2004, I've actually sent off a money order back in the day and had to wait as long as 4 months to receive my parts. All of that doesn't bother me because I knew what I was getting into... But when you go to extreme terrain and it says free 2-3 day shipping on orders...
Yeah this is definitely the same impression I have gotten from them. Wont be using them again in the future. Was convenient because I found exactly what I wanted and just ordered it but next time ill be going direct to the manufacturer to order it.
I have, they said that although the item said it was in stock that the vendor didnt have it. Just seems strange because when I contacted the company directly they quoted in stock with a 3-4 day delivery.
How has everyone's experience with extreme terrain been? I placed an order on the 23rd of July for some coils from Rock Krawler and they still havnt even shipped... Today I received an email asking if I had received the items yet??? So far I am not impressed at all with them, and am considering...
Thank you! Definitely makes me feel better, I thought it was such a good deal I jumped on it.. With how prices on everything in life have been skyrocketing I was expecting considerably more.
Got my 5.13s installed this last Friday, man its soooo much better. 5th and 6th gear were completely useless before. Luckily I only went about 1-1.5 weeks before getting mine done. Getting an average of 19mpg highway and 16-17 in town.
Agreed! A leveling kit is all these trucks need IMO. I have Rock Krawler 1.5" springs on the way to replace the teraflex leveling kit. I did swap out the stock Overland suspension with stock Rubicon suspension but I don't personally consider that a lift.. More like where all the JTs should be...
Thanks guys! If you do choose to release them I promise ill be first in line to order a set for the Comanche. Would fit Tj's and basically every 90s jeep too so I'm sure you'd see the sales to make it worthwhile.
