  1. Bumpers

Thanks for everyone's input, I ended up going with the aluminum Rockhard 4x4 full width with the lowered winch plate, RHR90245. Hand is full of stitches so it's not on the Gladiator yet (65 Mustang decided to get me) or I would post a picture. Just a heads up, they do have a veterans discount...
  2. Bumpers

I do a lot of road trips... Bison, deer, moose etc.. That and an offset collision does worry me as I have seen my fair share of them. There is no perfect bumper, just not finding what I like so far. Guess that was a tree bumper, as you put it :)
  3. Bumpers

The attached picture is of my old bumper from the JK, total cost for just the bumper was less than $150. It went the full width, allowed for factory fogs, had recovery points that tied straight into the frame, had a recessed winch plate separate from the bumper (forget what plate I used was but...
  4. Bumpers

They are nicer than a lot of the bumpers out there and don't look weird, are made in the USA and they are comparable to the ARB bumper. Not sure if they are airbag friendly though. The factory bumper wouldn't take a deer hit, believe me, I know and that's why I had a steel bumper on my JK. I'm...
  5. Bumpers

A bumper designed with the airbags being considered. Bumper would have to be full width to take into consideration of any offset frontal impact whether it is from an accident or even a deer, no stubby or mid-width fills that need. If your just using your rig off-road, I guess it wouldn't matter...
  6. Bumpers

I've had Jeeps for over 30 years, traded my 2017 JK for a Gladiator... Have to disagree, no disrespect, and repeat, there are some really ugly bumpers available now and sliding over obstacles is not what 90% of owners want to do with a $60k+ vehicle!! I'll ad, as an retired engineer, if they are...
  7. Bumpers

Is it just me or are they just making ugly bumpers anymore? I look and I look and they all look like they should be on an alien vehicle or the moon lander and they skip the purpose of a bumper by not being up to snuff for safety! Must just be me?
  8. Driveshaft failure after recall

I had the rear driveshaft replaced, under warranty, on my old Wrangler Rubicon. Seems to be an issue with the Gladiator as well. If it fails on the Gladiator I have, I might just go aftermarket.
  9. Falken Wildpeak wear issue?

Just a thought, when they rotate the tires, they are just going front to back on the same side. They are not crossing over as recommended! This will cause cupping and wear. Seems most shops do it that way now due to directional tires and just being lazy!
