Update on mine. Went and took my Gladiator back since the dealership couldn’t fix it. Hooked up a Tazer Mini and they had 4:10 ratio and I have 4:88. I changed the gear ratio and now every works like it is supposed to.

I have almost the exact same problem you ended up with with my 22 Gladiator Rubicon. It doesn’t kick it out of 4wd, the transfer case is manually i. 4wd so it actually works, but the computer doesn’t know it’s in 4 lo) I didn’t get any FAD trouble codes so I assume it still worked, but not sure...
