Probably a mod that shouldn't been done sooner rather than later. I deleted my aux battery. Even though I've disabled start/stop with my tazer I didn't want to deal with any aux battery issues. I've already had to replace once.
Didn't think anyone tuned these 3.6 outside of supercharging/turbocharging. How long have you been running it? Would be curious on long term reliability on the motor running E85. This definitely has peaked my interest.
I honestly only see 3 ways to swap a hemi while living here in CA.
1. Buy a newer Gladiator, gives you 5 years of smog free hassle.
2. Register vehicle in a county that doesn't have smog.
3. Smog your rig illegally.
I can't see any other way.
If it ever happens and they end up putting the 392 into a Gladiator, definitely going to be north of 100k. For me personally if my 3.6 ever shits the bed I'll be having my local offroad shop swap in a AMW 425 and call it a day.
The shop I take my gladiator to has done 2 AMW swaps all CA vehicles. I know personally if my motor fails I plan to do the AMW swap using them. As far as smog goes I'll worry about that when the time comes.
