Yea very odd. Funny I took those brackets off when I installed my Clayton kit. Clayton didn’t seem to care too much about them when I talked to customer service

Another update. Highway drive was successful. The catch is this was at Clayton’s recommended 20 1/4inch length on the upper control arms. After the successful drive I figured I’d adjust the arms to 19 3/4inch as the shop set it for proper caster and BAM, low speed wobble (haven’t gone fast for...
  3. Might be time to change: Ram 2500

I wanna go the same route 🫣 absolutely no need for a 2500 but a regular cab long bed with some options sounds pretty nice for me. Hoping to go through the summer at least with the Jeep and go from there. Some issues have turned me away from the Jeep. Should’ve never lifted it or gone 37s šŸ˜“šŸ˜¬

Todya I found the front lower control arm rear bolt not torqued to spec. Lower drag link bolt also not torqued to spec. Took care of those and then replace the trackbar lower bolt with a standard size bolt to fill the hole more. Nothing has changed driving wise. Will try highway shortly and I...

At work but ran out to the jeep to check the tie rod bar. I’m kicking here and there seems to be a good amount of wiggle. Kinda hear it too. Does this look right? Sorry if it’s not the best video. One thing I found so far was my drag link axle side bolt was not torqued to spec.

Thank you sir! I’ll report back tomorrow with hopefully some findings
  7. Another Death wobble conflicting info Clayton lift

It’s triggered by larger bumps. Manhole covers, large potholes etc.. there’s no issues at all until I hit a big enough bumper over 40mph that puts the jeep into a true wobble. Not a vibration unfortunately.

Thank you so much! I’ll get caster and toe dialed in. Tomorrow I’ll be checking the ball joints which passed the pry bar test and I’ll be checking the track bar mounts while switching out the hardware to standard sizing Incase there’s any movement there. My new balance did seem to help quite a bit
  9. Another Death wobble conflicting info Clayton lift

A proper balance seemed to help quite a bit. Still have it but also have caster around 2.5-3. So not good.

Thank you! Sure thing! The mounts are called side shooters by Maximus-3. Originally I could only find them on Tyri’s website but I see extreme terrain sells them, same price. highly recommend them, very stout, no vibrations. Perfect spot to aim to the side and not be too buggy or ā€œsameā€ looking...

Not far, maybe 45 minutes from Clayton. I went there to pick up parts. Didn’t get too far with customer service but I have hope they maybe will post here or I may try another call lol they are very friendly but customer service just sends me to an authorized dealer after talking to them a bit.
  12. Another Death wobble conflicting info Clayton lift

Thanks for the replies fellas. I don’t have caster measurement yet. I should have that by the end of the week. I’m sure as it sits caster is around 2.5-3 Degree. The shop adjusted it to 6 but that’s when I had low and high speed death wobble. With it adjusted back to Clayton’s recommend I...
  13. Another Death wobble conflicting info Clayton lift

I think this is less about the death wobble and more about the conflicting information between Clayton and the Clayton Authorized retailer. If I have the Clayton upper control arms set to Clayton’s specs, should I still run adjustable or extended lower control arms?
  14. Another Death wobble conflicting info Clayton lift

Thank you for the reply. The shop has a great reputation and I want to believe them. My distrust with the shop comes from damaging my wheels and double stacking wheel weights that were hitting my right rear brake caliper. I don’t believe wheel bearings were checked. I can do that tomorrow. On...

  17. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Today I installed a Clayton 2.5ā€ ride right lift kit, falcon 1.1 shocks, and Teraflex front lower spring isolators with previously installed falcon 1.1 steering stabilizer and Whiteline rear swaybar. This is on fifteen 52 wheels and 35x10.5 Kenda tires.

My jeep got JKS front geo brackets. Didn’t notice a difference but feels better to have I guess. I’m still constantly adjusting my steering alignment. Would upgrading steerer components (steer smarts, etc..) fix that? Sits on a 2.5 spacer lift and 3/4 rear spacer. I also need to repaint that...
  19. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

The TYRI website where I bought them from showed them on a Rubicon. They don’t touch the hood or windshield cowls, so it shouldn’t be an issue on Mojave. Other thing I can see is the higher fender blocking the pattern a tad bit...
