  2. Victron battery monitor

Ah I see it now. No issues since install?
  3. Victron battery monitor

What did you do with the IBS? Not concerned for the shunt under the hood as it is only IP21 rated? I run these on my lifepo4 banks. I love them.
  4. Got Rear Ended on the HWY

I'm just supremely pissed off this guy was traveling at 130mph speeds. I'm not the type to go after someone and sue but this is a 100k car he was reckless to say the least.
  5. Got Rear Ended on the HWY

Not that I know of. He came out of the woods walking with a cane. Thinkin maybe meds or he fell asleep
  6. Got Rear Ended on the HWY

The path from where the other car stopped to where my skid marks are on the HWY.
  7. Got Rear Ended on the HWY

So after I walked the scene and plotted the GPS coordinates of the initial skid mark and where the car came to a stop, its 213 yards. Given the damage to the frame and the distance traveled after impact, the estimated values come in at a 65mph differential on impact. This put the car which I now...
  8. Got Rear Ended on the HWY

I juat went back and walked the scene. From point of impact, the other car went another 400ft off the road into the brush and smacked some trees. I laid out the scenario into Grok AI and the estimated speed at impact was 105-115 mph.
  9. Got Rear Ended on the HWY

I got a nasty knot on the head and two black eyes. People in the other car were seemingly fine. The frame is bent.
  10. Got Rear Ended on the HWY

If you zoom in over the guy in yellow pants you will see tail lights of the other car way off in the woods.
  11. Got Rear Ended on the HWY

Yeah when I got hit, it was a real battle to keep it somewhat controlled. I went from the right lane and spun around backwards and over into the median. Not far enough over to hit the barrier thankfully.
  12. Got Rear Ended on the HWY

Got hit doing 65 mph in the right lane on the hwy at 10pm. Seems like the car was doing 90 or more. What do you think? Will they fix it or scrap it?
  13. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

I did a soft install of a Starlink Gen 3 dish for remote excursions / home backup. I am very impressed so far and have used it on the Jeep for two weeks. I've seen up to 350 mb/s download speeds while driving. Mounted it under the freedom panels resting on a sunscreen with bungee cords securing...
  14. Another Cam bites the dust...

If anyone could send me a bad cam, I will do a metallurgical analysis on it. It's my current opinion that the issue with the cams are a material / process flaw.
  15. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

To add onto what @ShadowsPapa has described, and from my short time here on this forum I can attest that there is a wealth of knoweledge between those ears........setting up gearing will require more patience and understanding than swapping bearings. While many "luck out" during a bearing...
  16. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

This cup shows sign of a potentially loose fit by the radial pattern displayed. This can cause all kinds of problems. Another explanation for this type of pattern is if the cup was seated into position somewhat crudely, at an angular back and forth approach into the seat but this is less common.
  17. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Send me some pics...I am with an OEM in the gear world underneath the umbrella of the biggest bearing co in the world.

If you don't see anything on the bearing races, pay attention to the rollers on the cone. Particularly the end on the larger diameter of the roller where it seats againts the inner race shoulder. Might be difficult to see without pulling the bearing off the shaft. Sometimes a small mirror can do...
  19. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Is the material on the plug grainy or flaky? Wear pattern on the ring gear looks good. Looks like hobbed and lapped gearing so would expect a bit of profile break-in wear.
  20. LifePo4 battery bank, bed install in Texas heat

I am looking to install a 100-200ah battery bank in the bed for camping. I live near Houston and it gets very hot down here in the summer. We hit 95 degrees today and temps under the bed cover were 120. Ideally I would install a DC-DC charger and MPPT controller. I suppose I could install these...
