Hi all.
Just wanted to give a quick update.
Ordered some new shocks for the front and rear.
Skyjacker Black Max for the rear.
MetalCloak reds for the front.
Nearly all of the vibration and shimmy is gone.
Doesn't ride like a brick anymore.
I ordered a heavier duty steering dampener. I know some...
I was looking at that 067, but that shortens the travel even more.
I see a 5000 model that is .5 inches longer than what I have, but I don't want to cheap out too much.
The Rancho 9000s seem appealing due to the adjustability. I just can't seem to find a proper length.
The Falcons on there are approx 27.5 at full extension. Seems a bit short since the mounting holes are approx 24.5.
Doesn't seem like enough travel there.
Am I wrong in thinking that?
I absolutely do not want a racecar feel, but I also don't want a couch.
Our roads here in Tahoe are so awful. Typical California roads. Potholes everywhere and never fixed. And when fixed, it's done poorly.
Good news on the drag link thank you
I will do some measuring today to see if front track bar is adjusted properly.
I have stock drag link. Does that need upgrading?
We did the wheel shake test and everything is very tight under there. No knocks or rattles
So I called Readylift and yes that is the lift I have. That part number is the coil that comes with it. Strange that theres nothing when doing an online search, but whatever.
Next I will be looking to soften the shocks. (any suggestions that don't break the bank?)
Rancho?
I will also upgrade...
First off, thank you all for chiming in and helping. I'll get there eventually
I think I will try to contact Readylift directly tomorrow.
As well as do more measurements.
I will keep updating what I find. The more I research, the more I think that I do have that Lift kit. The product number...
What I did read is quite a few good reviews on that Readylift. Not really talking about a stiff ride.
So in the kit pic, I am struggling to find what these are. Are they the extended bump stops? That doesn't look like what I have
Hootbro, I totally agree. I was looking for this combo for a year.
Low miles, Gobi color, bigger screen, etc... This thing was practically new and moderately priced. I wasn't even ready to buy until I sold 2 more vehicles. I didn't want to let this one go.
I have a problem haha
I believe that is is a full Readylift kit, but the part number has me off. Plus I don't quite see all the components in the photo of that lift kit.
The track bar is adjustable. The Control arms are not. And they are tubular.
So the front springs are Readylift 68-6401-k and when I look that parts # up there is very little info. What does come up are some marketplace listings with spring with that number on Jeep Jku's.
Caster was my next thought. I have read a bit about that. Would love to figure out how to measure caster at home. Not many alignment shops around me.
Other notes to add.
I have the stock Drag link and I have no idea if the track bar has been upgraded. I know the stock one blows. It seems...
Thank you very much for the reply. I will keep working on it to try to figure out how to fix the issue. Just very frustrating. I love the stance. and how it generally looks. I'd prefer to not spend thousands to fix it.
To answer your question, yes, I have the Commando. Used to recently own...
Hi all.
I've been a member for a bit and have yet to post.
Trying to do as much searching and researching.
So heres the deal.
2022 Willys with less than 8000 miles and I have put less than 1000 in a year. Every component in the suspension looks new and is tight and torqued.
The ride on my...
