I have the exact same setup, Bedliner and gapshield. The tailgate end of the gapshield slides up the tailgate when closing. Mine opens and closes fine and both work great. Is yours not hinging correctly? Installation looks just like mine.

I do charge in garage and would not charge it outdoors; that is a good point to highlight. It’s water tight when closed and I can still charge under the hood if I was outside. I chose this location for ease of install and short wire run. Also the plastic cowl is inexpensive to replace. Cheers

I just installed Rokblokz. Went with XL regular on stock Mojave. They look great and IMO all the sizes would work and look good on stock setup. Be advised, you do need to order the rock rail cutout for the fronts. I did not and spent an extra hour tracing and dremmeling. Lots of great photos...
