  1. 2020 Rubicon - Can't replace windshield because of phantom codes

Just circling back to say that I got this issue resolved by bringing it to a shop, having them clear the codes, the morning of the windshield replacement. Of my options above about where I was wrong...it turns out I would have needed a more advanced reader to clear the codes in my Gladiator vs...
  2. 2020 Rubicon - Can't replace windshield because of phantom codes

    That's a fun variable I hadn't considered.
  3. 2020 Rubicon - Can't replace windshield because of phantom codes

My understanding is the camera that is behind the windshield near the rearview mirror needs to be recalibrated for safety systems to function properly. I'm with you. I can hit my own brakes but this Jeep came with all the safety stuff when I bought it used.
  4. 2020 Rubicon - Can't replace windshield because of phantom codes

I believed I had, but admittedly I'm no expert using the basic OBD reader I have. It gave me the option to delete...I said yes, and I thought it was cleared. I'm assuming there is something in that flow that I don't understand...that is leaving the codes there even though I thought they were...
  5. 2020 Rubicon - Can't replace windshield because of phantom codes

Hi Folks, The safelite tech just told me he can't work on my Gladiator because it is throwing so many codes he won't be able to calibrate it. I don't have any lights on the dash, and I don't have anything wrong with my jeep that I'm aware of. He showed me a huge list of codes and honestly I...
  6. Whining going up steep hills or when towing uphill

Not really, I was on the big hills yesterday...transmission temp was between 197 and 203 for the entire 8 hours of driving. I heard the sound and then tried to change things up to see if anything impacts the sound. Turning off my AC seems to have impacted it, but it could be that my perception...
  7. Whining going up steep hills or when towing uphill

Thanks, your feedback has added urgency to this for me so I'm going to start trying to minimize the damage now in hopes of extending its life.
  8. Whining going up steep hills or when towing uphill

@Maximus Gladius...ouch all the way around. I almost never hear it. I checked temps and they seemed nice and cool. I watched it the rest of the drive and it stayed stable and I can't remember the number...but it was in the first 1/3 of the gauge the entire 4+ hour drive. This just started. I'm...
  9. Whining going up steep hills or when towing uphill

Hi Folks, When towing a camper (3,500 lbs) with my 2020 Rubicon. I notice a whining sound (pretty noticeable) especially when going up hill. I also notice on steep inclines that are long when I'm not towing. It doesn't sound normal. Anyone have any thoughts on this? One other post I could...
  10. Sun Visor Fix

@ Gvsukids Yes, just like those. Believe it or not I searched but apparently my search terms weren't what they needed to be.
  11. Sun Visor Fix

Hi Folks, Right after getting my Gladiator I noticed the sun visors pop out of their mount. From what I can tell others have this issue so I'm sharing the fix I bought because it was a 10 min fix to resolve the issue permanently for both sides of my Jeep. A simple metal piece that bolts right...
  12. Massachusetts Want to sell or trade your brown leather seats?

I'm in concord MA looking for black leather or ideally the stitched back leather. I have brown leather now.
  13. Oil leaking, not the oil filter housing, dripping down starter onto drive shaft

@VA6489 Thanks for the reply. I already have the aluminum replacement for the plastic part that fails up there. It's dry as a bone on the top of the engine.
  14. Oil leaking, not the oil filter housing, dripping down starter onto drive shaft

Update: The Dealership (non-jeep / Chrysler) is telling me that a) they don't see any oil even though I shared the pictures with them and that b) what they do see is "fine" so no further work is necessary. To be clear...they have the jeep and are in person looking at the same thing I was...
  15. Oil leaking, not the oil filter housing, dripping down starter onto drive shaft

Thanks folks. Hopefully I have a healthy Jeep back soon.
  16. Oil leaking, not the oil filter housing, dripping down starter onto drive shaft

Update: Dealership (I bought used so not a Jeep dealer) said it was a valve cover gasket. Replaced it and sent me on my way. It's still leaking so I pulled the inspection plugs and found dripping from the upper oil pan bolts. See pic. Seems to me like it's the rear main at this point? Anyone...
  17. Oil leaking, not the oil filter housing, dripping down starter onto drive shaft

Hey Folks, I bought a 2020 Gladiator Rubi with 76k on it. Overall...it seems in pretty good shape. I noticed a fair amount of oil in the driveway so I looked and found that its not the oil filter housing...I can't see where it originates but it becomes visible on the starter and then dripping...
