Hello I have cold air intake and Corsa Exhaust , and a AFE Scorcher. From time to time I two a 5500 Lb rv. But my dealer would mot put 5w30 in said it would trip the check engine light.

Yes I am look for less wear when towing and in hot weather so I am not terrified, I have 43000 on it already.

Hello Has any one out there running 5w 30 had a check engine light come on? I was told by my dealer that could happen if I started running 5w30 oil. I have never heard any one saying this has or would happen. I thought 5w 30 would be better for towing.

Hello After taking to my mechanic friend, I would suggest you use Mopar Trans oil. He did some some comparisons to other trans oil specks, found some other bands do not meet Jeep specks.

Hello I had the same problem, I was told to have the service department at my dealership reprogram the system. The manager there said they could not do that. I just sent them back and put the factory taillights back on.
