Whew! The temptation is gone, thank goodness. My bank account can sigh a sigh of relief! š Having a unicorn build up like that would have been cool though, no matter what you use it for. I went through a similar situation when I sprung for my 392 but regretted the purchase six months later and...
All true but a premium AEV package with a 65% bump up in power (470 HP for the 392 vs 707 HP) is where the cost comes in. For just about any location this rig would be a unicorn and in my opinion is worth the cost. But, everyone has their own wants and needs.
Yes, AEV components are expensive but in this package the price is higher because of the performance. If 707HP is important to you then itās worth the money. Compare that to a $90k 392 stock and this is a bargain in my opinion.
Yes, the Good Lord does protect us from ourselves and thanks to Him for that! This wasnāt one of those āhold my beer and watch thisā moments was it?š
Jesus loves Jeep owners! How do I know? Because I am a believer and if any Jeep owner has gotten themselves into a pickle off road and gotten home safely, we know Divine Guidance was/is at work! Glorious Jeeping!
You might want to checkout the TrailRecon YouTube channel. The guy on there just bought a gladiator like this one; his adventures off-road and pulling his trailer are interesting.
Yes. Along those lines, I remember when I had my Gladiator I pulled it into the same spot vacated by my JLU and I had to make different accommodations.
Sweet setup labby. I had a 2023 Gladiator Rubi for a short time but couldnāt justify keeping two pickups, so it was back to the JLU and keep my Ram 2500. However, if (when) the Gladiator comes out with the 5.7 I will have to seriously consider getting onboard again; I think the 5.7 in the...
Oops! On the farm I used to load/unload/stack alfalfa bales which were held together with baling wire, but there was some ātwiningā going on too. Ah yes, that brings back memoriesā¦I can almost smell the ādairy airā!š
If you āaxeā me, I prefer my 8ā bed Ram 2500, but thatās only because I can also haul pieces of 8ā plywood with no overhang and at least a cord of Woody Woodpeckerās rejects all at once with no chiseling required. But, Iām sure your MPG is better than mine as mine pushes the load with a 488 ci...
You nailed it with the modern day thinking direction that is being taken. Being raised on a farm, then plucked out of that environment to be trained by Uncle Sam in the AF I felt it was a seamless transition until I got out and worked the rest of my career for an aerospace company. Although most...
Good question; lots of greased palms would be my guess. I saw a short vid on YouTube where a gal was touting the off-road prowness of her new Bronco while climbing over a low profile rock with the rear wheel high in the air. Sheesh!š
That really sux! Hope you can get āer fixed. My one rig with the 3.6 pentastar only has 13k miles so no problems yet (using exclusively Amsoil); I drive my 2.0 turbo most of the time. This is one reason I probably wonāt buy another gladiator unless (until?) they put in a 5.7.
I like the hurricane engine platform; Iāve had two 2.0 turbos and still have one. Both have been reliable, the first I had for 7 years with zero problems. Today, it all comes down to MPG and government standards for the manufacturers, not necessarily the owners. I still have a 1996 V10 that...
