For the registration process, did anyone recognize the first digit of the VIN being a "1" means your JT was built in the US? That seems like it ought to mean something and issue a plate.

How's your Jeep wave experience in Colorado? Most never returned a wave. Maybe too many Jeeps? I noticed drivers without a front license plate (meaning out of state) returned Jeep waves. Filling the tank of the former JLUWX in Ridgeway, CO, a decked-out Gladiator was on the other side...

My experience is that JT owners always returned the Jeep Wave. Wrangler owners were hit-n-miss. Some Wrangler owners literally looked the other way. Have ridden motorcycles since I was 13. Same thing with the wave. HD riders are nearly predictable if they will return their wave.

Back in about 1980 I drove a red CJ with a V8 and a manual transmission in Phoenix, AZ. That CJ was loud, vibrated, stiff clutch, and zig-zagged down the road. No casual driving that thing. 🤣

If one has ever had to replace a leaking axle seal for a D44 half shaft, I'd suspect one would appreciate the full-float axle set-up. I would, having experience replacing axle seals.

I like the white top for the JT or JL. I would have the sides and back painted to match the body color.

Using an HT Midland GXT1000 now. This after trying some chineeze knock-off from Amazon that let me down last year in Colorado. Worse, that knock-off booted with some female chineeze voice, so I'm good with that radio failing.

Why are the battery leads in "series" as you mentioned? The two batteries are wired in parallel.
