Having the rear axle locked helps tremendously in loose sand, especially when I need the full articulation of the front wheels to navigate tight turns on desert trails. I get really leery about steering out to full lock using 4x4 on hairpins and switchbacks, so the rear locker only is a perfect...
That makes sense. I have my browser security set very high. Thank you for this explanation. I was at work, as well, so it's possible the network settings were interfering as well. I just clicked the link at home, and it works just fine.
The Ford factory locker is all electronic, as I believe the Jeep's is as well. IIRC, my F150 locker disengages at 25mph, but will re-engage if the speed drops to below 25mph. I thought I recalled learning that the Jeep's operates the same way. Once engaged, it will disengage above 25mph, then...
Awesome! Thank you for all the replies! I definitely plan on picking up a Tazer, as well. I just wish there was something like ForScan, that was available with a complimentary license, and didn't cost $300. But, gotta pay to play with a J(ust) E(mpty) E(very) P(ocket)!
Checking in from Maricopa, AZ. Don't own a Gladiator yet, but I did do a 4 day camping/Wheeling trip over El Camino Del Diablo in my F150 last year! Hopefully I'll be in a Gladiator at the end of the year!
I just watched a video about the Off Road+ button and the dance you have to go through to engage the rear locker in 4Hi. What a PITA! Made me wonder if it's also available in 2Hi without all the screwing around...? In my F150, I simply press the button and it engages whether in 4Hi or 2Hi. I use...
Honestly, it's not needed. I got the most base version of the Line-X and after 3 years in Western NY, and 5 years of Arizona sun, it still looks new after a good hosing.
HELL YES! I had Rhino Liner in my first truck, and it faded and looked like crap after a year or so. It was too soft, as well. Current truck has Line-X, and I'll never consider another liner. After 8 years, it can be hosed off and still looks new. I will sometimes toss our shooting group's...
I want to see an Inca Gold Rubi next to a Goldilocks, so I can compare the colors. I fell in love with Inca Gold, the first time I saw it. I like the Goldi, but lately I've been crushing on Mojito! and '41. I'm having a hard time choosing!
I haven't seen any yet, until I did a search today...

Goldilocks color isn't available to order online yet, though.
The Compass absolutely does do it. Rams do it as well. It's by design to illuminate the path you're turning. I was simply curious if the JT does this, since it's a rather nice feature. Apparently the answer is, no. Not a deal breaker, but after driving the Compass last night, it made me curious.
My wife is over 100K on her 2018 JLUS. She doesn't baby it either, and she only changes the oil when it tells her to. I'm curious about the driving habits and OCI's (and grade/weight of oil used) of those that have had failures, and those who haven't.
I've read
I read somewhere that the newer 3rd Gen D44's are having issues because of the bearings. The higher models (Mojave, Rubi) are getting these axles, however the lower models, such as the Sports and Willys are not, at least according to the Jeep B&P sections. Obviously those could be...
We have a "Jeep" Compass at work, and the fog lights come on when turning. I was curious if the Wrangler / Gladiator does the same. Maybe there's a way to use the Tazer to set it up? Thanks!
