Yes and there's a huge small-mid size pickup pie to split. Almost 200k Tacomas sold in 2016. Over 100k Colorados. And over 600k F-150's! That's about 1 million small to midsize pickup trucks sold in 2016. I can see the JT pickup selling 200-300k easy in its first year.
It should look close to the renderings as long as it sticks to the spied prototype's shape and size. So it'll definitely be the best looking and most unique pickup on the market besides the upcoming Mercedes one (which looks hideous btw). All the other pickups look like pure utility vehicles...
Even if this isn't the first visual confirm of a 2 door Wrangler pickup, a Jeep rep already said that there'll be both 2 and 4 door models, per http://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/jeep-wrangler-pickup-jt-production-starts-sept-2018-will-come-in-2-and-4-door.598/

A mild hybrid JL is supposed to debut 2018-2019 -- Timeline: New Jeep Wrangler to include gasoline, diesel, mild hybrid, full hybrid
Without even reading the article yet just look at the pic and you can half predict the success of the cars. One looks like a melting children's cartoon car and the other carved out of a solid chunk of metal. :)
The removable top and doors feature of the Wrangler really can't be overstated. If...
Nice I hadn't picked up on the "single and dual cab" part. Surprised they're making both sizes to be honest but the more models the better the chance for success.
You guys think the bed length will be different for the 2 and 4 door models?
Would you guys be ok if the JL had this type of roof structure where it's all completely open except for the two side pillars that extend all the way from front to back?
Since they couldn't even make JK Wranglers fast enough, I hope they'll have increased production capacity to kick off the JL production with or there's gonna be lots of people waiting for a while to get their 2018s. :(
Anyone know if the new nav unit will have Apple Carplay?
