  1. Confirmed: 2020 Jeep Gladiator (JT) gets 3.0L diesel, hard/soft tops, longer frame, beefier axles

Along with the longer frame, looking at the rear portion of the cab in spy shots there seems to be a longer wheelbase, too. So perhaps better rear passenger legroom over the JL?
  2. JT Wrangler Truck Testing on Public Roads, Shows Spare Tire Mount

Yep, but the aftermarket will provide plenty of options there. Kudos to the Admin for being ahead of the rest of the press on Wrangler updates. Seriously. The JT looks like the Wrangler of pickups, for sure. I'd be all over it except for the fact that I like to be able to access the rear...
  3. Colorado ZR2 Will Be The JT Rubicon's Main Competition

Any diesel is going to run out of breath the further up the rev range you go, that's just their nature. I think there have been more complaints about turbo lag than anything else.
  4. Colorado ZR2 Will Be The JT Rubicon's Main Competition

I've been watching the ZR2 very closely ever since they showed the concept at the L.A. Auto Show back in '14. I think this is a much better compromise between a factory prerunner and trail rig than the Raptor, which skews more heavily towards to former. I do like how much more simple and analog...
  5. Jeep Pickup (JT) Spied With Production-Intent Bed!

Really wonder where the spare is going to go?
  6. Jeep Pickup (JT) Spied With Production-Intent Bed!

Could be any number of things: 1) Angle (as mentioned). 2) It's still in prototype testing, so there's a chance they could be using mismatch fender flares. I honestly think the final product is underneath the camo and you're being fooled by the angle. A lot of things can get distorted with...
  7. FCA CEO: JL Wrangler is "Perfect"; JT Pickup to be built on Wrangler platform

Agreed. I also read in the transcript that Sergio said that we won't see the JL until the end of this year. This is getting way the heck drawn out....Lol.
  8. How do you plan on using your rig?

I've driven the new Ford Super Duty several times, and if Ford can make a truck with a SFA ride comfortably Jeep can do it too.
  9. How do you plan on using your rig?

Sidebar: Just turned 12AM PST, so merry christmas to all who celebrate it! Just curious as to how some of you use your current rigs or plan to use them in the future? I've been studying overlanding scene for a bit and it seems - domestically - to be populated mostly by Toyota guys. Jeep guys...
  10. Motor Trend: JKU vs. FJ

In light of the continued discussion on the future of the JL/ JLU and its competition, I came across this comparison test from May '14 by Motor Trend I wanted to share. Some interesting conclusions have been drawn as to the "why" for the demise of the FJ Cruiser. The second before the last...
