body panel

I'm looking for info or advice on how I might 'pull' the driver rear exterior panel 'out' away from where it meets / aligns with the tailgate. The tailgate binds and is not able to open due to the rear panel being pushed into it after I was hit while parked. it's due in the body shop in 10 days...
