I’m seeking recommendations from forum members who have experience running 37” tires on your DD JT. I am looking at three brands in particular, although I know there are many more out there.

Using Discount Tire Direct as a basis for comparison, they show the following for 37X12.50R17:
Falken Wildpeak AT3W $335 - 83#
Nitto Ridge Grappler $358 - 79#
BF Goodrich T/A KO2 $371 - 70#

What are your thoughts on using any of these tires on your daily driver? Are there other brands that I should be considering? Any opinions are appreciated since you have first hand knowledge of how they perform. Thanks!

I never tried the Falkens. Between the BFGs and Nittos, I had the BFGs on my LR and the Nittos on my JL. The Nittos are quieter and handled better on the highway.

I had 37 KO2s on my last JK, and have 37 Ridge Grapplers on my JT. If fuel economy is important, you might go with the KO2s, as they are a little smaller and lighter. Otherwise, I like the Ridge Grappler better. My perception is that they are equally quiet and smooth.

KO2’s all day and twice on Sunday’s. It’s an incredible tire. Great on road and off. Great tread life. Not noisy.

there’s a reason it’s been one of the most popular tires and why Ford has specified it for All their Raptors

I’m running KO2s. Quiet, handle great, and no pull to the left or right.

BFG couldn’t have entered into an agreement with Ford to put them on Raptors for marketing reasons, could they?

You mean like every other tire and auto maker? (WTF?)

Ford needed a tire that would meet the performance specs of the Raptor. They picked BFG who tailored the AT KO tires for the Raptor.

Right- just like every other tire and auto maker. That’s my point.
BFG does allege to have collaborated with Ford on the development, but it’s still marketing.

I'd consider general grabbers for AT and daily drivers. Had them in my JKU and loved them. Quiet, even wear, good traction even after 40k miles.

I'm pretty happy with my Falken MT so I'd consider the AT but no direct experience.

I'm running General Grabber ATX 37x12.5r17s
They aren't light, but they are smooth and quiet.

This may or may not help you with a decision. I scraped a tire site for all of their 37X12.50R17 tires and sorted it in ascending order by weight. I had some tires in here that didn't have a weight on the particular site. Those tires with no weight have been excluded.

Obviously a 37inch tire could vary in size a bit, so take that into consideration as well. Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT is the lightest, and a great tire. KO2's, Grabbers, MTRs and Terra Grapplers are all on the lighter side and good tires. Milestar isn't on the list as it wasn't listed on the site. Its another tire people have had good things to say as well. Hope the list below helps.

What an extensive list! Much appreciated!

I’m sure there’s a lot of variables that go into it, but generally speaking a heavier weight makes for a tougher tire right? While a lighter tire helps with mpg and street maneuvering, etc? That’s why most that off road in the more demanding trails prefer the heavier mud terrains? Thanks for the help!

Great List ! Much appreciated ! I have a few scribbled post it notes with this info... lol... BTW, any love out there for the KM3 ? I have the stock Falken MTs on my JT Rubicon and I really like them. Aired down, they will conquer any terrain..., you cannot really say that for the all terrains.... When sizing up, I have been considering the KM3 for reduced weight instead of the Falken MT..., but, I really like the stock Falken MT. Any comments ? Thanks.

BFG-Ats best bang for the buck
I run two different sets of tires on my Gladiator
37 BFG ATs & 38/13.50/17 PATs also.
