So, had this light come on wheeling today. Ive been searching around and found problems ranging from FAD plug to rats eating through harnesses to dealers replacing transfer cases(seems extreme for most cases...)

-4wd still functions both hi and lo
-locket still functions w/ no “serv locker” light
-no other lights like abs or anything.

Ill start by checking the fad connection. What’s next?

If you lifted your JT and didn’t center the steering wheel exact sometimes even a bad pot hole in the road will cause that light to come on , but it goes off after about 20min or so of driving. Happened a couple times in my JL

Lift has been on for a couple thousand miles, but my whee is off a little. I was planning to recenter tomorrow anyway so will make it a priority.

Is it possible to be centered enough to NOT have ESP come on day to day, but then trigger SERV 4WD when that goes on?

Thanks

normal driving day to day was fine , but if I was in a slight curve on the highway and hit a big enough bump it would trigger it and then reset after a bit. it happened a few times before I got the wheel exact.

We’ll see if that fixes it.

I think Ill also do a FAD delete and chromo shafts just to avoid fad issues
