On my stock sport (no lift) I am running now

255/70/18 = 32.1 x 10

Here are the sizes I am considering:

285/70/18 = 33.7 x 11.2
285/75/18 = 34.8 x 11.2
295/70/18 = 34.3 x 11.6

I have found posts suggesting all these sizes will fit but may requires removal of bumper air dam. 285/75 seems to be the most popular. The final size I am considering

275/70/18 = 33.2 x 10,8

Which, at pretty close to 33x11, is still +1 from my current tire and can be found much more affordably.

I know it sounds crazy, but I would do a 305/70/18. I had 285/70/18 ridge grapplers and they ran small and looked skinny.

I'm not sure this tire will fit on a 7.5" wide wheel. Most I have looked at are requiring a 8.5" wheel.

Does NJ have any laws about how far tires can stick out past the fenders?

Discount's website let's you know what will fit/what they are authorized to install. Based on the website you can put a 37/12.5/18 or 305/70/18 on a 7.5" tire. Here's 37s on 18x7.5 Overland wheel

I'm not finding any options on the tire sites where a 35x12.50 tire permits a 7.5" wheel width.

However I have found some people over on the JK forum using my wheels with 35x12.50 tires

I guess I just need to find a tire shop willing?

Yea for some reason discounts website says a 35/12.5 wont work but look at 37/12.5 that says it will.

A lot of people run 35/12.5/17 on stock rubicon wheels so you just need to find a shop willing to mount

I am having 285/75R18 mounted next week on my Overland rims. I will post some pics to give you a visual of how they look when mounted.

Looks great. Which tire did you go with, and how much of a lift if you don't mind?

Here is mine with the stock 7.5” overland rims on 295/70r18 Yokohama Geolander AT. Yokohama offers a 30 day guarantee that allows you to return them if you are not totally satisfied. They also have a great tire mileage warranty.
Since the rims are 7.5” wide, I added a Spidertrax 1.75” wheel spacers and 2.5” SST lift to gain the look I wanted. Also had an adjustable steering stabilizer added.

Not sure on a tire size recommendation, but give a look to the Kumho Road Venture M/T KL71 tires. It's what I'm running on my JTR. They're quiet, ride good, smooth, handle great, and get great tread wear. I got mine from @Discount Tire . They're on this forum. You can PM them, and they will respond and you can setup your whole sale basically, other than the payment part. They even accept PayPal...But you have to tell them you want to use it before they setup your purchase order. That's how I did mine. No PayPal fees, either. Highly recommend using them! :like:

It still looks like most running 285/70, 295/70 or 305/70 have opted for a lift or some level kit. Also most of these pictures show the trim between the bumper and fender removed.

Can anybody confirm the largest 18" tire which will require NO modifications to the vehicle?

Does anybody have experience w/ Treadwright?

To bring this thread to a personal conclusion, I was so dissatisfied with the 18" tire options that I decided to sell the 18" wheels and instead purchased Pro Comp 7031's in 17x9 with a -6 offset. This will allow me to get into a lighter overall tire while having the proper rim width to fit a 35" or larger. For those sticking with 18's I salute you.
