Got a JT in Feb and absolutely love it. My YJ has been sitting in my garage and not getting much use anymore. Seeing if a fellow YJ enthusiast would like to give her a new home.
1988 YJ Sahara 4.2L with 34,000+ (I’ll be driving it once it’s warmer a little) original miles. Manual trans, soft top. Top and frame are currently off, as I don’t and never have driven it in the rain. I am the second owner of this vehicle. I found it in a garage on a farm when I was taking photos (I’m a real estate agent). The original owner used it to get the mail at the end of a long driveway. I don’t think the soft top was ever removed before me, as the interior is basically mint. I replaced stock radio with a BT vintage radio (still have stock radio), the master brake cylinder, and the carb. It starts up and drives like a new wrangler. Shifts clean and easy and is basically all original minus a few engine replacement parts and shocks/springs. The hood paint had faded when I bought, so I had Sherwin Williams automotive rep match the paint perfectly and repaint the hood. I also put new KO2’s on it.
Body is in incredible shape. Bumper, baskets, doors, etc are all virtually mint. There are a couple places around the hinges on the tailgate door with surface rust on a Tiny spot. Some spot rust on some of the bolts around bumper. Was going to have same paint rep match and cover this summer, and I will if it doesn’t sell. Frame is in good shape, shocks and leaf springs are in good shape as well. I saved it from being turned into a snowplow truck from the previous owner, who had the undercarriage coated to prevent the road salt from rusting it. As you know, this specific model is collectible and is only going to become even more valuable over time (currently trading on BaT for $13-20k). I want to keep it but the wife said I need to sell if I want to build out my gladiator and use the funds from YJ sale. Clean title in hand. PM with any questions. Always fun to tell this Jeep’s story. Cold start video And additional photos available upon request. Asking $15,000. Thanks for looking.
