I run this kit on my 2020 Sport S w/ 35x12.5”x 17” rims. I used all geo brackets, just not the shock extender brackets. I’m about 9 months and 6000 miles in and very happy with everything. As I think others have alluded to it depends what you are doing with your Jeep. I am 90% on road and not rock crawling. I have an overbed rack but not for a tent, just ski and bike racks and a small basket for miscellaneous items (not a bunch of constant added weight). I kept the stock springs, opted to swap out my stock shocks for extended Bilstein 5100, added the Bilstein steering stabilizer, added some Steer Smarts parts to correct the geometry tighten up the steering (Adjustable track bar, Sector shaft Brace). Some pics below, the result is a much better than stock ride, just enough height to do some light off-roading and still have an easy entry/exit/ for the family usable bed height for loading/unloading things. My all in cost is definitely less than a Clayton/Full AEV lift and I’m achieving the look/ride that I wanted. If you are doing serious off-roading, rock crawling then this is NOT the lift kit for you but for the price along with a couple add on items, I think it’s hard to beat what you are getting here.

People that say you don't need anything other than the spacers are the same ones posting why is my Jeep driving like shit? It's very simple, you lift, you change geometry of the axle components. A 2" spacer lift will change caster and will shit the axle to the side. There is no doubt about that. If you can live with a JT with an axle poking more to one side and with darty steering, have at it. The truth is that in order to bring back geometry back to factory tolerances you either need longer LCAs or Geo Brackets and an adjustable track bar. Do it right once.
Not true. The axle shift is max 1/4”, caster has adjustments outside of geo brackets.

At some point you do need to do those things unless you want to have a crappy ride, it’s just that at 2” or less you’re not there yet.

I have a Mojave with the AEV 2” spacer and Geo brackets. I also run the KO2 315’s. Before and after are almost identical. Tracks straight and drives comfortably on all kinds of road / off-road conditions. While I do not think that you *need* the brackets they help make sure you have correct caster. The alternative is to use the adjustable control arms. But it is your money and your truck. Just understand that caster does matter in how these vehicles drive unless you are 100% off road with it.

Do you need them with a 2" lift no, but they do improve the ride especially on the highway. I drove for a month without the geo brackets before installing them and to me it was a significant change. I used the Rancho geo brackets as they are much cheaper and beefier in my opinion.

My pervious JTW axle shifted 1/2" (maybe 3/4") with just 1.5 TF spacers. So I'm talking from experience. Lifting will always change things. It's basic geometry.

JKS also makes them. Not terribly priced.

In stock form there is NO caster adjustment possible on our JT/JL platform.

Hmm, I ran the AEV 2” spacer lift and my Jeep didn’t drive like shit or have darty steering. Must be the exception to the rule…

Did it have the geo brackets? If it did, that is why it drove good. Axle was still shifted to one side.

Negative. Drove it with just the AEV kit for a year and never considered throwing more money at it since it drove like stock. I did go to longer front LCAs when I swapped in front 3.5” springs to get rid of the rake and sag (as well as an adjustable Trackbar).

Thank you all for your replies! I just wanna do this right, once! The reality of it is I probably won’t be doing any “real serious “ off-roading, if anything it’ll be stock friendly trails. I guess I really can’t go wrong with either if I do it correctly……. Again thanks so much for the replies much more confused now, but a big help. LOL

And they look like crap from the side. Its overkill with a 2 inch lift, especially if you have the slightly longer Mopar LCAs. 400 bucks not well spent....

AEV lift here with geometry brackets could not be happier with MT BB 37”
