The wife and I live in SoCal, and decided to do a couple of weeks in Utah. We managed the Mighty 5 + north rim of the Grand Canyon. I would not recommend it, there is nothing to see. You are going to be board to death..... Here are a couple of pics I like.
We did ~3K miles on this trip in the JT. It was flawless. What a great machine. We did Hell's Revenge while in Moab and it was ridiculously easy on 37's. We got to play with all the buttons and such, and it was fun. The exit we took was some loose rocks and was more interesting than the rest of the 6+ mile trail.
Zion - go here first, it is the least impressive if that is even a thing. Beautiful but more "confined"? More tourists
Bryce Canyon is amazing as the sunlight changes - hard to pick one pic
Anyway...We had a great trip. Got into some mud, snow, slickrock, loose rock, deep sand. The one thing I hate is washboard. We did a lot of washboard and wished I had a Mojave at one point.
