No manual transmission...that really sucks! It's a Jeep for goodness sakes!

I though saw somewhere where they said you have the option to choose manual transmission.

Likely referring to dealership preference. The Launch Edition options are set.

This was from a motor trend review but who knows how accurate it is.

"The Launch Edition packs a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine making 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Like the standard Gladiator, it offers a choice of a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic."

Jeep's website for the Launch Edition documentation only mentions an automatic transmission. I would likely trust the manufacturer over the reporter on this one. Screen capture added to the original post up top.

And today according to the owner of my local Jeep dealer, Canadians once again are not invited to the party. We are SOL if we want a LE.

Originally wanted the Gator, but the Red is a close second choice for me and since I want the LE...

What a wonderful day, W00t!!

So the auto would account for ~$2,000 of the LE markup, no?

Just got back from the dealer. As far as I'm aware, the factory has my pre-order. Th only available option is color, every other package available on the Rubicon is standard on the LE, except for the dual top option, the only top it comes with is the body colored one. They did a soft pull on my credit and my deposit was $2k.

@mpsbarra - which dealer did you go to? I am in MD as well... I haven't got a call yet, but I am thinking of going to Ourisman in Clarksville without a call from the Concierge.
I didn't get a call, I went in yesterday because I got that email stating you can preorder on 4/3 and after having called Jeep corporate they said a dealer should let me preoder yesterday as well. That wasn't true, so they just scheduled an appointment for me for this morning at 9am. I went to Heritage in Towson.
