2021 Release Date

Anyone know when the 2021’s should be available for build? Leasing due to business use and the 2020 residuals have dropped quite a bit since arrival so hoping to build a 2021 right when they are released.

I haven't seen any hard information, but I gather April is likely. We can also expect the 2021 Gladiator to be the same as the 2020 Gladiator. The only difference would be a higher sticker price and an optional diesel engine. Is there a particular reason you want a 2021 mode? Once those hit the lots, you can expect to get much better deals on the 2020 Gladiators.

My experience has been that the lower RV, even when combined with a deeper discount on the outgoing model, often makes it more expensive than the incoming model. I don't expect the 2021 to have anything different (at least anything I am concerned about), it's purely a matter of which is the better lease price for me. As an example, when the 2020 JLU came out, it was far cheaper to lease a new one than a 2019 JLU, even though the 2019 JLU's were heavily discounted.

My bet is that the 21s will be out in the fall.

2020 Gladiators will be the same as the 1997 TJs. Similar to 1965 Mustangs (came out in April of 1964).
