Very possible. We've been in a deep drought here and I am sure the guy across the road has planted molle every-other year.

Maybe this model year will be the equivalent of the FJ Cruiser NSSE (Not so special edition). They had a model year that got almost non of the special edition parts that were originally speced, even had basic steel wheels.

It's seems to be associated with the "low back cloth seats". I don't think anyone with leather has mentioned the absence of the panels.

My 23 Rubicon has cloth seats. Rubicon stitching, and no Molle. Which I was pretty disappointed at.

I will try to get out and peep the battery.
