2024 Grill Inserts, did you cut out the plastic grill parts?

Wanted to put another Old Glory insert in my new 2024, didn't realize that I would have to cut the original grill up, not just remove some of it. So for now, the insert is in there, behind the original grill. Not loving the look, Old Glory is a bit too hidden, but I'm hesitant to permanently alter the grill.

Anyone done that? Regrets?

Any issues running the original grill with an insert?
