Toyota has already said that the Tacoma will basically be a mini version of the new Tundra. So far it’s shaping up exactly that way.

I wonder if this one:

A) has more than an ancient 6spd auto
B) isn't trying to run the engine at 1300 RPM at 80 MPH
C) Has TCM programming that understands there's something between 6th gear and 4th, something between 3rd gear and 1st
D) makes ANY torque below 3000 RPM
E) has electronics (stereo, dash, etc) dating past 1998 technology

I had a '19 TRD Pro. Absolutely the WORST vehicle I've ever owned (and I go through vehicles like underwear), without a close second. Got rid of it in 6 months (a new record for me). I will NEVER so much as look at a Toyo dealer.

Had a 2017 TRD Pro. To call it gutless would be an understatement.

Part of the reason I got the Gladiator is that the Tacoma is just too small, but my Tundra was just too big for my needs. And the Tundra is still on the lot after I traded it in May.

Paid 50K in Dec. of 2019 and in May with 4800 miles they gave me 51K. Put it on the lot for 61K, now down to 55.8K. And description still says TRD Pro which it is not. iD10ts

Bumpers with fringe are going to be the new “boots with the fur”!

I’m gonna pre-order this Apple Bottom T-Pain Edition Tacoma as soon as Forever 21 opens their doors tomorrow!

Are those lawnmower wheels? Proportions suck.

Sold my Tundra to get my JT. It felt too big in most places I went. I also built a buddy's TRD-Pro 4Runner up. He had me install a Magnuson supercharger on it to help compensate for a little larger tire and a roof rack. The 'Yotas look sweet and have their place, but they've never struck the same chord as my JT does.
