So I purchased a 2020 Gobi max tow not too long after they came out. Ended up putting a bunch of rubicon parts on it with fenders and suspension etc. was on 37s. I sold a bunch of parts I had from it and traded in the rest with it. I replaced it with a 2025 Toyota GR Corolla. I loved that little car as I’ve always had fun cars in the past. It was sweet but after 1300 miles I still missed the gladiator and I know my kids enjoyed the little bit of extra room it had versus a hatchback car.

I always said if mojito came out in the gladiator I would always trade Gobi on it. Well there was a rubicon sitting close to me and the only mojito rubicon within a good distance. I worked a couple days on it and last week picked up my mojito rubicon. The GR stayed behind.

Now I’m back to square one. I have put back on my Rigid lights back on the front thanks to the ease of the aux switches.

The stock rails don’t work good for my kiddos as there is no step. Luckily I found some more rails that someone had beefed up and turned into some sliders with steel tubing. I didn’t pass them up. Brought them home and got to work with getting g rid of the rust and doing some bed liner on them.

I also added some clear hinge guards and some door sill entry protectors.

Enjoying it so far.

Nice Mojito!

Yeah, one thing about sporty/fast cars is they're hard to enjoy, at least where I am. There's so much traffic you really are hard pressed to find anywhere where you can stretch it's legs and enjoy the power. The Jeep OTOH you can enjoy everywhere.

Thanks!

well I live right outside the mountains in East TN. So good area for both honestly. I miss playing with quick cars, but I may try it again in a few years after my kids are much more grown and i do need as much of something for family. The hatch worked but it really was small. It seated 5 people, but they didnt even have the leg room the gladiator does nor the width space. Cargo was minimal. It was all for speed and great handling.

Drove one state over today and picked up some things for a great price. Got some basically new 2-3.5" lift Falcon 1.1 shocks. They are mint. Also got a 2.5" terraflex spacer lift setup. I know spacers arent idea, but I had one on my last gladiator with rubicon springs and it rode fine. Did what I needed it to do at the time and looked good.

Figure for now with a light budget for mods I would go with that.
I usually try to find most of my parts cheap. The GOBI was all cheap / free/ low budget parts. Will do the same for this one to start at least.

Looks good! I like Mojito on the Gladiator a lot.
I do too. I’m a little upset right now. After my 4 hour interstate drive today (2 going and 2 coming), I have found 2 small places where small rocks have hit and made chips on the bulge in the rubicon hood. It’s not even barely been a whole week yet!!

Maybe time for protective film on parts that could be easily chipped.

Probably but it’s hard for me to pony up that much for something that has to be replaced every few years. Would be nice if there is easy DIY application stuff.

Like this better, Green aint my style but glad ya like it . It is what it is .
I liked the Gobi but nowhere near as much as this. Green is my favorite color and even better when it changes shades in the different lighting.

Randomly Saw my old truck over the weekend at a local ride. I was told it went to another state. Found out that no, it went to another city in my state.

I almost had a part back that i accidentally left in it that i wanted to get back. They didnt even know i left it in there or what it is or does and doesnt affect the trucks working. Let me have it and said they were sure multiple times. I offered to pay, no thats ok... take it.

30 mins later they want it back and put back. Oh well....thats neither here nor there. Just an aggravating situation.

I still need to put the suspension stuff on that I got. I also went yesterday and picked up an adjustable track bar.

Hope to maybe do the basic suspension lift parts this weekend. Ive done it before on the old one, so maybe I can do it even quicker this go round.
