Ok, here we go. I drove from Phoenix to Michigan this week. I towed a 3500# boat in addition to my cab/bed loaded to match my GVWR minus tongue weight including my butt and full tank of gas.
Conditions ran the gamut from pulls up 6-8% grades totaling over 100 miles and Over 100 degree heat and A/C full blast. Heat was over 90 until Missouri. I manipulated and managed my auto transmission in manual mode to keep in optimal range 2000-3500 RPMs at all times
This drive had hills, flats, head and cross winds. This was a punishing drive for a stock 21 Rubicon fully loaded pulling a 3500# trailer and it did stellar! I donāt really care how fast I go so I used common sense and took my time.
Results: It did awesome and is a pulling beast with more than I need to get it done. Iāll take this mileage any day under these extreme conditions without fail or falter. As for oversteer? No problems at all and I have not done TSB for steering box. Little sway on the boat trailer at times due to rutted road along the way. Otherwise no problems!
Glad to be home and I love this truck!
