Why we (the rest of the world) can't have the US spec JTR is beyond me. My European (albeit in the Gulf) spec JTR comes with the lower wheel arches and possibly the narrower axles. I was just about to go with KO2s in 315/70/17 to replace the punny 255/70/17 KMs the EU spec JTRs get but now I'm concerned about them rubbing....

Can anyone shed any light on what I'm likely to find? I'm planning to level the JTR using the terraflex kit but do not want to go down the road of spacers.

this is 315/70/17 on a stock sport s. Looks like wheel wells are about same as yours. They looked good in the rear and I think with a spacer lift in the front it would have been about perfect.

Do you have any rubbing lock to lock with the steering?

No but that was with aftermarket wheels. You may get some with the factory wheels. Have you thought about 285/75/17? They are about the same height but narrower.

So after trawling the tyre shops, Qatar doesn't have Toyo 35x11.5 and the MTR hasn't made it here yet, nor the Yokohama X-AT.

They do have the KO2 in 315/70/17 and lots of them. I was disappointed to find out the EU JTRs use the lower wheel arch but relived (as they took the rear wheels off) to see we have the M220 axles. KO2s in 315/70 now fitted on the stock wheels and I'm really pleased with the result. a levelling kit will follow. The JTR feels great and the gearshift points seem fine as is although i will Tazer the correction.
