Hello! I’m looking to upgrade my OEM 33” Falkens on my 21 JTR. Looking to just move to 35” for now and am currently looking at Ridge Grapplers and Baja Boss. Any recommendations for either? Or another option that you like better?

Thanks in advance! Would also love seeing some pics of 35’s running on a JTR even though I know there’s pics all over the forum lol.

The Question.. What is your primary use of your Rubi; how much DD and what off roading?
Not familiar with these -- are the All Terrain? I run Toyo 35/11.50x17s Open Country for mostly DD and some Trails (No rock crawl) a buddy runs Cooper STs on his Rubi DD.

Yeah sorry, a DD for sure. I do take it off road though. They are both A/T and I don’t require a M/T tire for what I’m doing.

You liking those Open Country’s? I’ve heard good things there too.

People Work?
I chose the BFG K02'S for their lighter weight and highway soft and quiet ride. I don't tow and I don't crawl.
I've been on some forest service trails and mountains and they did fine.
They seem fine in heavy rain as well. No snow this year, so someone else will have to fill in that blank.

BFG offers a 60 day money back.

I've had 2 sets of ridge Grapplers. They did well In the snow and held up really well over time. The 2 things I ding them on are they did not do very well on wet asphalt (not terrible by any means but compared to the falkens much easier to break loose from a stoplight in the rain for example) and they got noticably louder as they wore. I'm going with Baja Boss ATs next just to try something different, they're also a 3 peak rated tire where the Ridge Grapplers are not

Not a Rubi, but have a set of those Toyo AT3's in 35*11.5/17 and they are awesome. Great ride, super quiet on the highway.

I went from wildpeak at3w 33s to 35s on factory JTR wheels.

One thing that does not get mentioned much is that these falkens includes their own road hazard warranty.

I also went from 33 Falkens to 35". I've been happy with both sets.

I've been looking at the Nitto Recon Grappler in 11.50 trying to keep weight down. Those Falken Wildpeak 35's are heavy.

Goodyear Ultraterrain have been great for me. I have about 25k miles on then and they’re wearing excellent. They have the 3 peak mountain snow rating and they do really well on snowy roads. They are a Discount Tire exclusive so you won’t find them on the Goodyear website.

Owned both the RG and Baja Boss AT, Baja Boss was a better all year tire. Both are great though.

Reminder to USAA members: You can get 25% off Goodyear tires sold on goodyear.com, on top of current sales. When I'm done with my Walmart special Kendas I'll probably grab 315/70r17 Goodyear wrangler territories

You had the Recon Grappler tire? How were they in the snow? Vs the MT Baja Boss AT?

Liking the Recon Grapplers. I've got 35x12.50-18s. Wish they were a little lighter that's the only negative.
