37’s and 4:10’s

So now that I’ve got the truck to a place where I like it, time to get a boat.

running 37’s, ready lift spacers, and stock Rubi 4.10’s.

who’s towing with this setup, what are you towing, what weight are you towing, and how ya feeling towing it?

I figure with a 19-22 foot boat size I’m looking at, with people, trailer, and gear, I’ll be hovering at 6k-ish.

also, assuming brake controller? I’m a towing newb

Not towed anything yet, but will have about 5000lbs of rock behind it in a few weeks and I'll let you know. Towed the se amount of rock last year on 35's and averaged about 16mpgs for the 40 mile pull. I got a Max tow so not sure how much that matters or not. Same gearing, 4.10. on 37's now so I'm curious as well

I just put on 37s and went with 4:88s. Feels like it runs way better that my stock 4:10s. I grab gear 8 on highway and cruise at ~2k occasionally grabbing 7th due to our hilly Phoenix area.

Curious to see what feedback you have from towing with 4:10s.

6k is a lot of weight to be towing with 4.10s and 37” tires. I have towed 3500lbs with 4.10s with 34” tires and it is okay power wise, it was better on stock tires, I would not want to tow with 37” tires unless I regeared.
Most boat trailers have surge brakes so no brake controller needed.
