Turned on in the middle of nowhere Ely, Nevada - no drivability issues at all.

I have an old wifi obd scanner that read the P026D, the JT is a little too new for it to read the codes properly.

Per Google it’s a somewhat generic code relating to too much fuel coming from an injector.

Any insight on a possible fix to this? I’ll be making an appointment for Monday…. */sighs*/

Just reset the light to see if it was a Fluke.

Tried that, my scanner doesn’t play too nice with the JT. I might have autozone try it.
Remove the 3 grounds on the fender and the battery. That will reset the lights. They will spark on you but mine did the same thing at the same mileage. No more light.

I’ll have a look in the morning. Thanks for the advice. How long did you leave them disconnected for?

Maybe double check the seating on all the fuses if you haven't already.

Thanks, I did that during a fuel stop. As many have reported, nearly every single one was a bit loose, no difference to the light for several hundred miles though.

I think I had this code pop up on me randomly when I was doing my cross country trip. I was able to clear it with JScan, and it never came back. Not sure what it was.

I ran some errands this morning, light was still on. I was going to try the battery disconnect when I got home and guess what? Light turned off on the way home.

Sounds like an issue with elevation changes on some diesel trucks when brand new from what I’ve read as some diesel Ford Chevy and Ram (HD) forums have similar posts.

This thing is obviously a Jeep at heart as it fixed itself. I’m glad, because I am really in love.

Take it to a dealer. Just because there's the same code doesn't mean the root cause or the fix is the same. You aren't going to resolve it otherwise.

I've had this code twice, both times driving through the exact same area of Nevada with big elevations changes, both times after filling up with fuel and both times in the exact same spot. It has cleared it self, I am at over 13,000 miles and have not seen this code pop-up again.

Sound advice. My dealer however, told me they couldn't do anything because it had already cleared. It's still a mystery to this day. Hopefully @ZoneArc can get this looked at before the code clears itself.

When I reset it, it comes back within a couple days. I have a scanner and all looks good, air, injectors etc.
Checked intake and its sealed and good. Going to pull Map tomorrow to chekc for gunk.
After that it's going to the dealer.

I’d skip all the self diagnostics and take it in.
