You will likely need to pull in nose first with the hardtop hanging as you won’t have enough clearance on the side of the hardtop to clear the soft top. That's what I am thinking...the top only needs 1" to clear, and pull away..lol
I guess I have garage ceiling envy..lol
I'm also gonna eye hook, and chain some angle iron to support it evenly.
Eye hooks, to chain, to angle iron...once it's up, it will be supported on the angle iron.
I am nervous about the weight/deforming the top? Gonna look into it. I've already got the engine liftI got the Freedom Top lift with a harbor freight engine hoist instead of the ceiling lift. It is a little more expensive but it is much easier for me to use with low ceiling heights.
I think that risk is minimal at best. I would say having a hoist is just as high of a risk to deform the top either way.I am nervous about the weight/deforming the top? Gonna look into it. I've already got the engine lift
Looks like you went through the bolt holes in the front of the top, what did you attach to in the rear?I don't have a fancy lift, I just use tiedown straps.
Even so, it sure seems like I have plenty of room with my 8' high garage.
Mine hangs on ratchet straps for months at a time and I have not had any issues with the top deforming. I even store the freedom panels in their bag on the roof of the top.I am nervous about the weight/deforming the top? Gonna look into it. I've already got the engine lift
