I didn’t get a chance to document the start of my 2020 JT sport. As I started planning I realized I should have opted for a Rubicon. and while I was at it, why not go Diesel? So a few months ago I ordered a Rubi Diesel to my spec. It arrived this week and the mods are in progress. Nothing crazy planned at the moment but you know how that goes.

Here she is at the lot.

A few Ordered options:
Diesel
Accessory switch
Painted fenders but black hardtop
Black grill
Upgraded polished rims (more on this later)

List of things done:
Window and windshield tint
Removed the bumper wings
Installed a spiderweb shade
Removed the rubicon stickers from the hood
EAG tube doors left over from the Sport S

Short term list of things to do:
KM720 Roswell rims 17x8.5 +18offset- ordered
BFG KO2 315 70 17- ordered
leveling kit- not sure which one, need suggestions for a diesel
My wife did not like the stock rubi rims so she advised me to get the upgraded polished rims. Then I found out why. She want me to put them on her JLU. (She’s a keeper)

Long term list:
Winch and plate- need suggestions.
ZroadZ rack
custom full length Bimini top (check out my concept rendering)
real 2” lift. Waiting for the market to catch with the Diesel

Is your current Bimini top covering just the front portion? Also what brand. Looks nice. Offset on rims?

Thanks. It’s a full length spiderweb shade. Actually just took the top off and it probably wont go back until octoberish. Rims are -18 offset. No poke.

Buttoned up the wiring For the winch. For those that have the diesel and Aux option. The wires ARE there next to the battery. Just hard to see. Man, this engine bay is packed!

So I was cruising the forum and was inspired by @Benbean66 . Looks like He is building an overland trailer too. A few months ago I started a similar, only bigger project with a 6x12 cargo trailer built for our previous gasser JT. We bought the new diesel because although the gasser pulled it just fine, it was always gear hunting and Revving high.

im going to add the trailer build to my JT build thread since I still have much more to go. Here are a few pics Posted in previous threads.

Oh, I’m also going to try to change the name of my build to add “+BASE Camp”.

Wow, that's an awesome setup so far! I'm following, since I've learned and picked up a lot of tips from others on here. Keep up the good work!!

Adding to the journal.
I bought a set of inexpensive EAG tube doors. These were a good price considering they came with the mirrors. Here’s how they looked assembled and installed as directed.

I didn’t like the bulky pockets on the outside so I flipped them and cut out the netting. I think it looks much better now
